Are you fairly compensated for what you do? Does anyone truly feel they are getting back what they are putting in and then some?

What about the interns, assistants, "gaffers", lighting people, extras. All these people are currently out of a job, and living in one of the most expensive (if not THE) areas of the USA. No union is paying these people to be not working while they "work things out". Things are not going to work out for them and I applaud the establishment.

All those starving artists submitting their independent works at Sundance that weren't made strictly to make money are finally going to get a shot and it's going to work in the studios' and viewers favor. I think we can do without ANOTHER Law and Order series or a re-hashed character like Rocky, Indiana Jones, and Rambo just to make money off a major motion picture.

Same thing is actually working out for musicians and music fans. Flash in the pan crap is not catching on like it used to because noone is paying for it! If you don't buy shit, eventually they'll stop making it. To actually sell records and make money and get your shit heard - it now has to be smart and good. Radiohead made money because they are fucking Radiohead and they took their time on their own dime making a record. Whereas Pop and Rap rapidly put out music just to keep someone's name "hot". If we don't look at the history of our past we are doomed to repeat it.

First of all I stopped reading your post after you said Justice League, so I know at that point you are either 13.5 years old or just a retard.

But if you actually knew your facts, the justice league is canned at the moment because there was a script and it sucked ass. Yes, the strike means they can't fix it, but its probably such a bad script that it is a better idea just to can it.

Teachers get paid absolute crap, and they deserve to make more money than a lot of the people who get rich. If you think they ENJOY striking, then you're seriously delusional. My teachers strike every time their contract is up, and it sucks for everyone, INCLUDING them. None of them want to be out there, but they do what they have to do to get what they believe they deserve.

And as for that "The kids won't learn" thing, that is the biggest bunch of bull I've ever heard. I guess it's been a while since you've gone to school or something, but the days that are missed at the beginning of the year are made up at the end. Good God...

I don't mean to talk to you like you're an idiot - in fact you are most likely far from one. All my years in school, I've never heard of or seen a teacher's strike. I know teacher's don't make shit as far as money goes - that's what husbands are for. Sounds sexist, I know, but in the complacence of the corporate-run male payscale system that is probably how it got this way.

Female teachers weren't exactly heads of the household, so they didn't need to get paid for their services as well as they probably should have been. Times have changed and now everyone is working. Housewives are becoming rarer and rarer and teachers probably do deserve to be paid a bit more. Of course that kick would most likely come from taxpayers, as public education isn't necessarily a money making industry.
