Default When people know you love teh b0lly, do they use his lyrics to charm you?

This happens to me alot. And I mean charm you as in try to pick you up. And I'm not counting lyrics thrown around on this board.

I like it, but it still makes me feel kinda beyond-help-obsessed.

No one tries to pick me up except on this message board. And usually their techniques are far from charming.

I meant OFF the board. And why don't they try to pick you up? Losers! You have that teenage pussy thing going on, damnit. Everybody loves that.

I know. And I just said no one tries to pick me up except on the messageboard. So to answer your question shortly: no.

But I'm sure if anyone ever did I'd melt into a big gushy puddle... and then think of how much more wonderful it would be if Billy himself read off some of his lyrics to pick me up.

My point exactly. Anyway, I must admit I have fallen for this before, but tonight this guy was sending me messages reciting "soma" for me, and I thought, jesus, it (I!) can't be that easy. But I gotta say it did totally pull on my heart strings. Damn you, B0lly.

When people find out I like SP, they usually either think it's hilarious or use it to poke fun at me.

hahaha, soma seems to be an odd choice for romance-ing someone up... seems a bit depressing! But hey, if it works it works (it probably would on me, too...)

I should probably go to bed and stop posting before cigarski yells at me.

i_adore_adore, you think it's depressing romancing me? Maybe that's why I'm single? *thinks* Yes, that must be it.

This.

I've experienced someone singing "Rat In A Cage" to me upon learning of my interest in the Pumpkins.

Same here. Although 85% of the times people don't even know who they are.

I did, didn't I? Well, like I said, I like it (when it doesn't make me feel obsessed), it is kinda cute. I was just wondering if this happens to other people.

An old girlfriend of mine used to sing "Said sadly" to me, and I loved it. Until she tried to get me to sing Iha's part. Then I'd be like

"I'm so afraid that no one cares..."

Something about Iha's singing voice makes me downright uncomfortable. I almost lost it the first time I heard the cover of "A Night Like This"

One of my friends is wildly obsessed and often leaves me voicemails which usually end in him screaming a random SP song in his "best" Billy voice.

"Ehh heh heh hehhhhhh...That was for you...Billy Corgan Jr." *click*

I should start recording them and make an archive for Netphoria to hear.

oh no, that's not what I meant! I meant that "Soma" is a depressing song and an odd choice to try to charm someone.

Yeah, I misunderstood. Well, Soma is my favorite song, so maybe not that odd in my case, but I totally see your point.

Good times, were they?

I have actually texted som people asking them "Does it make you happy you're so strange". Usually drunk-texting guys I have crushes on. They didn't get it. Usual response was "huh?" Blah.
