i think talking to HR would be a great idea. so you can express that the comments you over-heard were hurtful, inappropriate and discomforting. feel free to say something yourself straight to their faces, i would, but you may feel more comfortable talking to your HR.

I live in canada and ive never known anyone who's been racist towards black people. There isnt alot a cultural differences and I think thats what people are more racist about here. I know alot of people who hate East Indians and Asian people though
