No, I need to research my food options. You obviously know more than I do about the ingredients in Ranch. Im not going vegan. There is a difference. Enlightenment would be much more cooler than being a jerk.

Edit: Its got Egg yolk. So, i'll go with Italian then.. or another dressing/condiment that works. Geez.

I think it's a fine idea. The two years I was vegetarian I was like a superhero. I had muscles and didn't bruise and wasn't all pudgy like now ;_;

All you have to remember is to get your B12, iron, and protein. Generally speaking all other nutrients are pretty easy to get. You can get high quality proteins into your diet by pairing up certain ones, the most known being rice + beans. It really isn't that hard at all

and cooking for yourself is really not that hard. you know you can cook a chicken breast in the oven and you don't need to stand over it the whole time.

i'm not mr. dietician since most of my diet consists of meat, cheese, and gravy but cooking is not that hard! REALLY!

chicken desperately needs to be seasoned though, i remember when i had to feed my dog different food after they pumped his stomach. it was white rice and an unseasoned chicken breast, it's called the bland diet...

so yeah garlic, oregano, all that shit, reall good. baking avoids oil i suppose, but again, i don't know how to cook healthy. i usually panfry chicken with oil.

of course you don't but for those that are short on time, or that need to cook something at work and there is no stove at the work kitchen - this is a great easy alternative that steams the veggies perfectly.

Well ideally you shouldn't cook your veggies in plastic at all... the materials used in tupperware and ziplocs can release chemicals into your food when exposed to extreme cold and heat. cheese and tomato and other foods with certain enzymes/acidity will eat into plastic.

Just make sure you eat everything in moderation.

Don't eat too much soy, it may cause a hormonal imbalance since it's a natural thyroid suppressor.

Its actually doing it that is hard. Cooking is the last thing i want to do when i walk in the door. I will make myself do it more often though to get in the habit. As for Ranch dressing, thanks for the heads up.

yup... and you need to be eating enough food that naturally contains sodium to help break down soy.

microwaves don't emit extreme heat

does that mean soy turns you into a pussy? because my roommate will drink a half gallon of soy milk in a week and he's a massive pussy.

Do you eat leftovers? I know some people are really picky about that kind of thing, but if you cook something that serves 4-6 on Sunday, you have lunch and dinner for the whole week so you don't have to cook or get tempted to make a bad choice.

but the food (which touches the plastic) that absorbs the energy becomes very hot... you can boil water quicker in a microwave, than you can on a gas stove... so there is extreme heat.

haha yeah i'm sure, but no...probably just mood swings, irritability, weight gain, etc. It's also known as an estrogen substitute...so pregnant women shouldn't eat too much of it. The side effects of Soy are endless, and that doesn't count the effects of the pesticides that are used.

What?! Soy contains very very small amounts of phytoestrogens. I wouldn't believe hubbub. Soy is in just about every packaged snack food and extracts and that crazy crap is used for everything. You can't escape it.

Moderation is a very good idea. Uh don't count calories either. Just eat the right portion until you're hungry and don't overstuff. Be more active and just improve the quality of food you eat and you'll be fine. those morningstar things are fine I guess, but I'm not too big a fan personally. I would just avoid packaged food and learn how to cook! ^_^
