Talking So i bought some Morning Star Farms Chik'N Nuggets...

and man did those taste fucking good. That was one of the first new 'healthy' Veggie things I will be trying out. I am looking to eat healthier and I also want to try to cut meat out for good eventually. I have bad eating habits and i want to start to eat better. Cutting meat out will help me too as i eat too much fast food and other unhealthy shit. I also have issues with eating animals that i just couldn't commit to previously. This is actually a very big ad hard thing for me to do, but i really want to.

Anyone have any suggestions for a fatty wanting to eat better?

any of the boca stuff is pretty good. the boca ground beef substitute pretty much makes me not miss eating meat at all. i'd say get back into enjoying fruits as snacks if you aren't already instead of eating a ton of processed sugar. honeycrisp apples are delicious candy

I think that the patties are passable but cutting out meat isn't really what I'd do.

What do you eat every day? From breakfast to dinner?

Just cause they're veggie doesn't mean they're healthy. Check out the fat content on those breaded morningstar stuff... they probably have more fat than their chicken equivalent. Some of the other products here however definitely are better, especially gimmie lean sausage stuff... waaay better for you than pork/beef.

Altho if you do continue to eat meat (chicken and sometimes turkey are really the only low fat options) you should try and pay a little extra for better quality, cage-free vegetarian fed chicken usually does not taste like a fillet of styrofoam (like Foster Farms chicken).

Thus the way i wrote 'Healthy'. Its definitely healthier than regular chicken nuggets after viewing some nutritional info. Whats most annoying is that i will need to read that info for most anything now to make sure what seems to be a healthier choice, truly is. Im more interested in not eating meat for other reasons, but the benefit of eating no fast food is good.

I typically eat a meal only once or twice a day, with a snack or two--which in itself is bad, as eating good food constantly keeps the metabolism going. or so i've been told.

Im just looking to eat better, drop meat and hopefully slim down a bit as a result.

I stopped eating meat about a year ago for humane reasons, as well as health reasons. Cutting fast food out of my diet made the hugest difference in my weight, I think. In the span of the last year, just watching my caloric intake (which is generally much lower for vegetarians) I have lost 75 pounds, dropping from a bigger 235 lbs to a reasonably svelte 160 (I'm 6' 2").

Best of luck to you!

Thanks. This will be REALLY hard for me as i eat alot of shitty food. Im not going to take myself off meat 100% yet, but slowly and surely i will get to a no meat point. Im not trying to go Vegan at all, as im not willing to give up dairy products, but i want to have healthier eating habits. Diabetes and high blood pressure run rampant in my family, and i don't want to end up in shitty situations like some of my family recently has.

Not interested in discussing this on netphoria. Actually, I don't discuss alot of things here. I like having most everyone here not know enough about me, keeps the sharks at bay. Don't remind me of all the good and tasty meat options available.

but really some good basic things you can do is avoiding alot of bread/carbs, fried stuff, and processed foods and drinking sugary drinks. i bet you'll see a difference from that alone.

I think the biggest misconception about healthy food is that it can't be delicious. There are tons of great healthy (and non-meat) foods out there. Cooking for yourself will really be what can help, however some offerings from MorningSta, Boca and the likes are fairly healthy too.
