Default Silversun Pickups -Remix Album

Hmm, this seems pretty pointless:

The six-song EP is aptly titled 'Remixes', and features songs from the Los Angeles band's debut album 'Carnavas', remixed by Jimmy Tamborello of The Postal Service, The One AM and famed Los Angeles DJ Jason Bentley.

The album will be released digitally via US iTunes on December 11, followed by a worldwide release on December 18.

The tracklisting is:

'Lazy Eye' - Jimmy Tamborello
'Little Lovers So Polite' - greyarea
'Lazy Eye' - Jason Bentley
'Lazy Eye' - Brian Lebarton
'Little Lovers So Polite' - The One AM Radio
'Lazy Eye' - Jimmy Tamborello

That seems pretty superfluous, most people will be dead by the second track

this is a pretty poor career move. A solid follow-up to Carnavas would be better, methinks. This could be a band who suffer from Second Album Syndrome to me.

How could they do that when they couldn't even get past First Album Syndrome, and now Remix Album Syndrome?

i want them to release that acoustic house party thing they played on mtv.

you know, where they had that original idea to play in pajamas...as well as the original idea to play at a mock house party.

srsly though, those acoustic versions were pretty cool. there was an aol sessions or xm sessions or some studio sessions thing i downloaded a while back that was acoustic that was pretty cool, but it was only like 5 songs.

This is a stupid idea. I love this band but I will not buy an album of remixes.

I'd give it a try. I liked Minus The Bear's remix CD, Interpretaciones Del Oso and Beck's Guerolito

i saw them at the barfly in liverpool a few months back, terrible venue, good performance. they have plenty of potential. carnavas was a solid début, but album 2 will make or break them in all likelihood.

a remix ep seems a strange way to go at this stage.
