its quite a conundrum

personally I just fake it an do what I can to keep the physical going. But I have tried pretty hard to keep out of relationships emotionally because of crap like this.

Could you give some more details about the dog food argument?

She wanted to buy our pup wet dog food and I flipped out when she insisted and made a scene and embarassed her in wal-mart.

I was drunk of course and totally acting out of character. She doesn't want to be with someone who is a big jerk and will treat her badly the rest of her life.

Whoah.... just stop it right there buddy. She is the one unwilling to reason or compromise. I doubt you just randomly flipped out and started yelling. Any developments today?

why do you assume that he couldn't possibly have just flipped out, but she could?

Having heard Tobes describe other arguments (granted they were written from his POV) it seems much more likely that she was the one who went crazy.

tobes why dont you guys just quit drinking for a while and see how your relationship goes. It seems like all your arguments stem from alcohol.

she insisted on deciding what kind of food the dog would eat and when toby put his foot down she pulled her trump card and broke up with him yet again. this is about control, not confrontations that can be avoided thru good intentions. granted some of those confrontations are over stuff like whether it's ok for toby to go out boozing, but i still think toby is going to have to choose between ditching this girl and handing in his nutsack once and for all

-- this is assuming the point of view we have based on toby's posts during and after these conflicts is an accurate one. he could just be a maniac. maybe he screamed at her in walmart and she had been finding beastiality porn on his computre history all week

Hey man im sorry to hear this. I can't believe she would pull this so close to the date. I think you should follow everyone else's advice and realize that she isn't right for you. She has control issues, and in my opinion, seems very selfish. She keeps doing these things without regard to what she's doing to you. You don't need this heartache, man. you need to find someone who will take you for you and everything about you, not someone who is trying to make you what they want you to be while trying to control the relationship.

I hope you come to realize this and make the right decision for YOU.

...and yeah, make sure you think long and hard about it and make your own decision about what course of action you want to take if options become available to you.

Her dad came up to my work today and told me to stop calling, texting and driving by. They already cancelled everything and I need to be out of the house by the 15th.

I really can't believe it's over. I have never hurt this bad in my entire life.

I suppose it is for the best, I couldn't give her what she really needed and she should have done this a long time ago because now I feel bad for her parents for spending so much...guess I'll be vacationing in Jamica all alone.

=/

!!!!!! I'm shocked!!! What a bitch! Why in the world did she wait this long to call it off? I was always pulling for you two, but what she did is just so low. She should've told you sooner if she was having doubts. But you don't want to be with someone that's always questioning your character or wanting you to change your hobbies or whatnot. You want someone that accepts you for you and loves you even though there are things that she doesn't quite agree with/is happy with, because that goes both ways.
You deserve better Toby, and I'm so sorry

I hate to say it, but Jerome was right all this time.

for what it's worth, i wish i had been wrong. sorry that you're going through this now, but there are much better times on the horizon. it may be a distant horizon, but they're there, and you know it.

Man what a fucking deplorable situation. I know it probably doesn't make you feel much better at the moment but the whole "dumped right before a wedding" angle worked wonders for a buddy of mine. He was pulling the poon hand over fist. Just make sure to emphasize the fact that the ex was crazy and you did everything you could to try to help her.
