misc vids from all eras
So I was going thru my box of vids, and decided I would put some of them onto my computer and upload them for you guys to download. I've got around 60 VHS tapes with some having more than one show/appearance on them from 1991-2000. If there's anything you want, let me know and I'll look and see if I have it. If I do, I'll upload it for you. I'll continue to update this thread as I get the vids uploaded.

i read the title as "mcis vids from all eras"
i couldn't figure out how mcis could be more than 1 era, and how any of what was uploaded was mcis era. took me a good 5 mins to figure it out. and thanks, i'll check em out, crestfallen for sure. |

I have some more stuff, and I'll try and up it tomorrow. I think I'm gonna start with Bury Me from 1992.08.29 Reeding Festival. This is the performance where James is wearing the silver dress.
 As for the codec issues, I'm just using the ffdshow codec. If you're having problems you can download the K-Lite Mega Codec pack or use VLC to play the files. I'd be more than happy to use the VOB file format, but I haven't figure out how to do that yet. I'm using VirtualDub to edit the files, and that doesn't all me to save to VOB, only AVI. Any suggestions? Also, I was using Sendspace because it allows files larger than 100mb and you don't have to wait a certain amount of time until you can download again. Which host do you all suggest since the files at Sendspace expire after a certain amount of data is downloaded? |

Okay. Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to wait until I get a capture card for Christmas and then I'm just gonna make a DVD of this stuff and up a torrent instead of doing all these individual files.
I think it'll be easier this way than having to record to DVD then rip to my computer and then blah blah blah. Perfect from David Letterman in 1998. Cash Car Star from Jay Leno in 2000. Bury Me from Reading Festival 1992.08.29 James Iha interview on MTV live from 1998. Bullet With Butterfly Wings live introduced by David Bowie. Billy and Shirley Manson presenting an award at an awards show. The Smashing Pumpkins interview from Reading Festival 1995. (they also show short clips of them performing. damn i wish this was released by MTV. it looks like a great show.) I know I have more stuff around here somewhere, I just have to find it on the tapes. So I'll be finding the stuff until I get the capture card. Once again, if there's anything in particular you want, I'll look and see if I have it. Or if there's a full show anyone wants... I'll look and see. |

Okay... checked out some of the ones you all wanted checked out.
1998.08.19 - Pro shot vid from Chile. It aired on TV. 1996.02.02 - Doesn't seem to actually be on the tape. Must be mislabeled. 1998.07.19 (Much Music) - This is just the MuchMusic I&I. Pro shot. Aired on TV. 1993/11/30 (<--1993/10/21?) - Tape is labeled with 1993.11.30. When I get a chance to watch some of it I will and see if they mention where they are. 1998.05.28 - Starts out with a brief interview with Billy. Shows the band walking around the town. Pro shot video. Don't believe it's the complete show. 1998.09.24 - This looks to be a MuchMusic awards show. The Pumpkins received an award for when the did the I&I and played in the rain. 1996.12.25 - I made a typo. Should have been 1996.10.25 - Champaign, IL. The tape that is labeled Bacelona 1994 has a date on it of 1994.03.04, but that show doesn't exist according to SPFC. So I really have no idea what it could be. Whatever it is is a pro shot show. And I found some more vids a few minutes ago. And I know I have some others from the 2000 shows somewhere, but I cannot find them. New vids I found: 1994.08.25 - San Diego, CA. 1992.08.29 - Reeding Festival. (Bury Me & Siva pro shot. Siva is screwed though. Somehow it got a 2 second clip of The Simpson recorded in the middle of it.) 1992.09.04 (Dusseldorf, DE). This tape also contains a live acoustic performance of Cherub Rock and Disarm from MTV Europe. (possibly the version of cherub rock from vieuphoria). 1996.09.22 (Minneapolis, MN) |
