Cool beautifulgarbage?

i have not listened to this in over a year, and i feel like it has aged really well. i know everyone here generally thinks garbage sucks pretty hard, but it's a nicely done pop album, i think.

Parade is still great, too.

beautifulgarbage is a really good pop album. Underrated of their albums. Garbage kicks ass. One of the best live bands I've ever witnessed

cup of coffee was pretty bad. This albums main failure is that it isn't consistent..it just doesn't work as a whole piece

This thread reminded me of that Metallica cover of "only happy when it rains" or whatever that Garbage song is called. Brought the lols. They were a bit flat when I saw them at what was my first BDo a few years back. Meh.

Shirley has a new album out soon, which I'm sure BC had a hand in writing

Manson has collaborated with a number of people on the project including fellow Scottish songwriter Paul Buchanan, US rock musicians Jack White, Billy Corgan [3] and Beck,

Garbage haven't produced so much as a good track, let alone a solid album, since Version 2.0

Tell Me Where it Hurts is the best track since Version 2.0, and it is very, very good. if you gave up on garbage that long ago you might not have heard it. check it out.

I just listened to it, and it sounds like a second-tier Pretenders track over which someone laid some synthy drums and strings. It's the same kind of half-hearted blandness that polluted their last two albums.

I adore Garbage and I think the new single pretty much sucks.

Best tracks on BLM are Bad Boyfriend & the title track. Listen to those, Ghetto Squirrel.

That first album, though...man, it still is unique and awesome. And I'll admit, it works better as a whole than their last two records.
I think one of the things that made the debut so cool was that it was made from the perspective of sounds, noises & studio tricks, by producers. Now, it's possible they're in a "rut" of being songwriting musicians. They oughta try more fooling around in the studio with weird shit. Put a kitchen sink and a junk drawer back into their music. That might reinvigorate them aethetically & creatively.
