Default Attn Guitarists: Who owns the Skreddy Mayo?

Tell me about it. How different is it than the Big muff? I know it is supposed to sound fuller in a live scenario, but how big is the difference? Also, does it have that sloppy slow feeling the Big Muff has? I love all the sound clips I have heard but of course playing it is a different story.

I own both the Skreddy Mayonaise (discontinued) and Sustain Punch Creamy Dreamer.

Since my Skreddy is an older model, I don't know how much I can help, except to say that he makes some really nice pedals. Mine makes a modern E-H Big Muff Pi sound lazy almost. The Mayonaise controls are the biggest difference; the range of the tone knob, and the sound quality at each point is superb. It's a little tighter overall, and really does do that Siamese Dream Mayonaise rich-thick distortion very well without getting all woofy like the Big Muff is prone to do. Not recommended for live playing really, but the new Mayo seems to have adjustments made for just that very thing.

The Creamy Dreamer is what I use live for SP sounds. I think it is more comparable to Russian model Big Muff tones, a lot more cut throat, not as thick or soupy in the low end; some sting to it. But no, I don't know where to get one (I got mine off Musican's Friend of all places).

You should hear what can be done with vocals run through amp simulators and plenty of distortion. With the right amp sim it can get a pick sound to it as well. You have to have the range, howeva'.

But yes, that weird kid with the keyboard is in fact a bad ass.

I don't know about this Rocket pedal thing. The point of the Mayo I believe is to fix the problems the Big Muff has in creating the SD sort of sound, but this Rocket doesn't say anything about that, it just says it can recreate Big Muff tones.
