not necessarily. Sequence IV was what MCIS was on that day, May 31st 1995. Any other sequence of songs after that could have included some of the same songs and mixes that were on Sequence IV.

i think its only a coincidence that they settled on that exact sequence of songs for Dawn to Dusk. the choosing of tracks and whatnot was a long way from being finalized on May 31st.

Could Machina II be included as the 6th album? It wasn't a label release but it was an "official" release... or at least a companion album to Machina.

Sorry for my ignorance, I wasn't around for the Machina mystery stuff... and it's been a while since I've given it any thought... but couldn't the mystery have something to do with the search for truth? the willingness and devotion to look beyond yourself for something greater? Because even if this yields no answers, it draws us beyond the music, beyond the industry, to some sort of greater interaction, some interplay of spirit, mind, and body...

just a couple quick thoughts

ok, i just got told to get on netphoria the other day, this was the first thread i stumbled on and it's really interesting... the only problem is that i don't understand the whole back story, could someone post me a link to find the start of these mysteries please? i'd be úber grateful.

as far as i know, there is no real back story. someone anonymously leaked two tapes a while ago (adore b-sides and quiet and other songs), but that wasn't really a mystery. that was just someone leaking some new songs.

this thread is the first mention of a "mystery". could be a joke by anyone. so far, i see no content.

the only way this mystery thing could be true is if billy is the leaker. otherwise it's just the person who leaked fucking with us (I think this is likely), or some random person

Here's my little theory (posted in the trading thread as well)

Could the "ZOMG HIDDEN MESSAGE" be somehow related to the left channel fade in/out? I was thinking morse code or Spectrograph, and listening to Doorstep, i think the possibility exists.

If we can track down the relevant original files, i'm sure i can look through them

EDIT - that would also make sense as to why it only does it for part of the songs and not on all of them.
