the restaurant business is brutal its a very hard business. be prepared to work A LOT.. you need deep pockets too unless your going in with partners. if you can make it work though restaurants are very cool. nothing beats good food and good company

Stuck in a hot kitchen all day doesn't sound very rewarding to me.

I think baking cakes from home would be better. Wedding cakes and funeral cakes, you know.

well, no, not really. but i don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that i could learn?

i'm not actually going to do this. just one of those things i'll always have in the back of my mind. you know "man that would be sweet! too bad i could never do it!"

i'm a cook.
it's hot and pretty exhausting/stressful, but i do enjoy it quite a lot, especially because it is indeed a very physical job.
i prefer it to sitting in an office behind a computer all day

also, eulogy, you could go to culinary school

well they don't have a culinary program where i'm at right now. so i meant quit the school i'm at and go to a different one.

my friend's brother was at a good culinary school in chicago and is now working under all kinds of awesome chefs in motherfucking Italy.

i mean. how awesome is that.

why don't you try applying as a cook somewhere and see if you like it

it's a lot of backbreaking labor and it totally blows but there is some satisfaction you can take from it

of course it depends where you applied, but it's likely that they would train you to cook/prepare the items on the menu....that's what they did where i work
