It's not really kosher to have rolls of toilet paper sitting all about your house or place of work. Second, many tissues are specially tailored to nose blowing, while toilet paper, on the other hand, is targeted for withstanding scrapes across the ass. I'll use whatever is closest when the sneezes hit, but I'm going to leave boxes of tissues in common areas of my home cause heaven knows my roommate spills enough shit, he'd ruin every roll of TP in a flash.

i don't always have tissues in my house, so i use toilet paper a lot. but tissues are so much more comfortable. your nose never gets irritated after blowing it repeatedly with toilet paper?

What, you've never excessively used a tissue to blow your nose?

If you get a cold (especially during winter), the rougher the tissue, the harder it is on your nose. You want it to be as soft as possible, because if the skin around your nostrils dries out, toilet paper irritates the hell out of it, and can promote that as well.
