I don't think Sarah Silverman, from what I've seen, is really topical humour. South Park can still churn out an episode in 7 days, and they won their fist Emmy with the Terri Shavio / Kenny In A Coma episode, something that happened inside of that week. This week's ep of South Park wasn't exactly "political-scenario-of-the-week" stuff, but it had a great mash-up of pop culture icons and current themes. Terrorist cutting off a Care Bear's head and making the whole thing like a political popbolier along with a random plot where Cartman is *finally* going to get to one-up Kyle - that's gold.

well, I still haven't watched the take-a-shit episode, but I'm not exactly bringing THAT up as a pinacle of South Park episodes. Loved this most recent one, very much like the movie where they take a ton of stuff, pop culture and current political stuff, churn it all together, and it, somehow, holds together.
