They tried something like that once. It didn't turn out too well.

that movie was awful minus the few small parts with doctor strangelove, which remain at the top end of the "jews bashing germany" genre of comedy

WII led to suffragettes and feminists. I think America should start working at sweeping the enemy within back under the carpet.

Hey, have you heard of facts? Because Iran has been attacked a number of times by Israel without provocation. So Israel, which is by far the most agressive and imperialistic country in the Middle East, is also the only one which has nuclear capability. Yet it is Iran, a country whose leader (the ayatolla remember) has consistently articulated non agressive designs, is the one being demonized.

Iran is merely defending itself from people like you commando, the racist idiots of the world who have to get out a map whenever anyone talks about a place outside of their own state.

they preach non-aggressive designs while bank-rolling terrorist organizations for decades upon decades now. So what they say must be met with great skeptism, not accepted as gospel.

anyway, this issue is a matrix with veils and trap door's. But there is a confluence of events that has made things very dicey right now. The rhetoric of the leaders can't be shrugged off these days, it's very telling.

Cheney says no Iran nukes allowed

Also, I've also heard the U.S. is trying to get a coup going on in Syria, something within the Bush Administration is supported by Cheney but not by Condoleeza Rice.

Throw in the Democrats rather stunning provacation to have Turkey enter the fray for reasons probably political, the middle-east is on a hair-trigger right now and will be until George Bush makes a play or a nuke goes off over Tel Aviv.

Why don't you do what you can to see if we can't get a water slide in this mix. If we're heading to nuclear Armageddon, we may as well get there by inner-tube.

Bush is such a fucking idiot for even using that expression loosely.
His capacity to learn from his mistakes is nonexistent.

Where on earth do people get the idea the Bush runs the United States? It's absurd. He does nothing, he decides nothing. He's a figurehead. Direct your criticism elsewhere. Taking it out on Bush the individual does nothing.

Figurehead or not, he has (or should have, at least) a responsibility to not come off as looking like a dumbass. People tell him what to say all the time, yes, but he can certainly phrase it a lot better. Using "World War III" is fucking stupid. He might be a figurehead but don't go thinking he has no say in anything, even if he appears to have an IQ of -10.

I hear you, though. Dick Cheney and his boys are dreaming up who knows what while Dubya plays on his internets.

Thumbs down

I can't wait. A real World War in my lifetime - fuck yeah!

I wonder how long it's gonna take until he presents indubitable proof of nuclear weapons in Iran.

Well, Turkey's already started.

Not that it has anything to do with Iran, but it certainly won't make the region any more stable.

Mmm, sanctions:

Quote:
The US decision to act unilaterally reflects White House frustration at the refusal of Russia and China to support tough economic sanctions against Tehran in the UN security council.

The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, underscored the divisions in the international community yesterday, when he criticised the sanctions move, saying it would make a negotiated settlement harder to achieve. "Why worsen the situation by threatening sanctions and bring it to a dead end?" he said. "It's not the best way to resolve the situation by running around like a madman with a razor blade in his hand."
Also this:

Quote:
President George Bush has said repeatedly that a military strike is an option. As part of a multi-billion-dollar request for more military spending earlier this week, the Pentagon asked for $88m to develop the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a huge bunker-busting bomb, for its Stealth bombers.

The Bush administration said the bomb was needed "in response to an urgent operational need for theatre commanders".

Democratic members of Congress questioned whether the weapon was intended for use against Iran, whose nuclear facilities are largely hidden underground.

Jim Moran, a Democratic member of the House of Representatives' defence spending committee, said: "My assumption is that it is Iran, because you wouldn't use them in Iraq, and I don't know where you would use them in Afghanistan, it doesn't have any weapons facilities underground that we know of."
What's with this package deal of 'the revolutionary guard are terrorists' + 'Iran stop with the nuclear technology'? They'll seriously throw the T-word around at every opportunity if they think it'll help them get what they want, and it doesn't help when your credibility is already shot. Anyone else get the feeling that the US administration is starting to sound a little ineffectual and desperate, especially with Russia giving Iran some support?
