sure i think my record speaks for itself. three of my teams are in the top five: Tulane, Notre Dame and Arizona.

My master plan revealed! I thought no one would figure it out!

Seriously though, Oregon measures how good Oregon is. All the conference chatter is mostly bunk.

You're "point" is just placing SEC and Pac-10 teams in tiers and matching them up with hypothetical match-ups. It's not so subjective or simplistic. You can only look at on the field results. I've watched all of the pac-10 except ASU and I've seen every team in the SEC play at least once this year. Granted, I haven't seen every game but I can tell you that I have seen the dominant SEC you speak of, only it was last year - this year they look just like any other conference. If it weren't for the parity, they'd be in the middle of the pack this year.

well putting this whole debate aside, i'm wondering why you and trots think the SEC isn't as good.

last year you had Florida and LSU....and....no one else that was all that great, really. right? SC and Kentucky are so much better. Florida and LSU are still great. Auburn is better, I believe.

i mean i'll listen to why you think it's worse, but i don't see it.

I think Florida is worse then they were last year. I think Auburn is worse then they were last year. LSU is about the same. SC and Kentucky are marginally better, but look alot better because the rest of the league is down. And let's not even talk about Arkansas compared to last year.

SEC 06 > SEC 07

Colin, I changed my USF/Rutgers pick to USF. It is 18 minutes before kickoff. Marking this so no one yells if USF does indeed pull out the win.

I built up Wyoming, he was either the Air Force or some C-USA team, I can't remember...I kept suffering freak losses when I simmed through part of the season, so I never really got a great bowl game, but I still recruited so well that after I left for UCLA they were preseason top-10 for many years afterwards. My first season with UCLA, the guy I played the season with, who was Alabama by that point, lost in the SEC title game in a win-and-you're-in situation, and I backdoored my way into the National Title game with a 10-2 record. That pissed him off.

You'd think Nebraska would be easier to recruit for than fucking Tulane and Arizona.

This season just keeps getting weirder. The fact Rutgers/South Florida has not only conference title ramifications but national title ones is the strangest thought.

there's an option under the coach screen that says "recruiting assistance" and its default is ON so I turn it off.

Tulane only got good recruits because I trained them really hard (80%, brought them from a B to a B+) and they won a bunch of games and so it was easier to recruit LA and TX guys. Problem is if you win your shit conference a bunch of times it counts as much with recruits as winning a good conference. Hence the fact that North Texas won 10 of 12 Sun Belt titles and transformed into a national powerhouse.

Arizona took about five or six years to get on a national level and it's pretty much only because I can beat an USC with a solid A with a team that's a B. You win your conference you get top recruits. The Arizona team has a good offense but a really weak defense so...*shrug*

Why? I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, I'd just like to hear your reasoning.

i really dislike them. it seems like a UTSA type school, poor education, just raking money off of a huge enrollment that wouldn't last a semester at one of the top tier schools academically.

all their players look like shitheads that couldn't academically qualify for even florida state. Grothe especially looks like a total moron.

oh yeah and their fans leave during a blowout in their favor

if texas was beating baylor 50-12 hardly anyone would leave, they'd stay and get drunker.
