Default Corgan Fuck Ups?

It occurred to me the other day that BC fucked his lyrics up singing Tarantula at Reading Festival the other week.

Are there any more videos of him screwing up out of interest? It was the first i'd noticed anyways.

Not that this is important or anything, but .. yeah.

He messes up pretty often it seems. Something recently and that was seen by lots of people, was Live Earth during Tarantula (he switched around one of the pouring rain/blazing sun parts). When he first screws up he seems to realize it and it doesn't sound too bad, especially if you don't know the lyrics very well. (I think it was Live Earth, correct me if I'm wrong)
Also at the concert I went to 6/27 he messed up Rotten Apples and did an OK job of bringing it back... if you didn't know the song it wouldn't have been obvious.

Monte's video is a much worse one and is pretty embarrassed. As a performer personally I would probably be pretty embarrassed. I would probably be kicking myself for a few days (though I would try to forget it during the rest of the show). Usually his screw ups are minor though (he used to do it on the verses to Today a lot as another example), and they wouldn't really bother me at all. But the DC one is obvious and BC makes it worse with the 'it's a new record' thing

It's bound to happen when you are touring for months but I hope Billy could just shrug it off.

Yeah... I don't have any vids though. Sorry. But they are out there

it's pretty sweet how mayday always defends billy. I prefer her method over corgan rules.

Despite the fuck up in the solo (perhaps because of?), an awesome rant ensues. Definately making fun of himself with the 'sometimes when you don't know what to say, some times when you don't know what to do, you just play guitar' - awesome solo - 'Of course you can't play guitar as good as you used to'

I remember he botched Muzzle at the UC show in 2000, and he apologized mid song...even though it wasn't that obvious. Billy seems to confuse lyrics a lot, I suppose that happens when you do so many variations on songs.

heh, yeah. he always sings "dead and gone" live instead of "gone and dead". makes it seem like maybe it was a last minute change when they recorded the album vocal. so it was only obvious to Billy with everybody singing along when he started playing it solo acoustic. it became "everything i've ever done is dead, sorry, and gone" on several occasions.

He screwed up BWBW at the 1st paris show and it provoked an 8 page thread abiut whether he'd changed the lyrics to be more religious.

Also wrecked This Time pretty bad at he final metro show in 2000.

i don't have it and it think it was machina tour it Utrech maybe. he was singing tonight tonight adn completely fucked it up and stopped the song and was like "should we try it again." there is also a funny one of him fucking up farewell and good night

eddie vedder sometimes is just drunk as can be on stage, he messes his lyrics up a lot, or just makes up new ones. they also fuck up when they randomly try to play a song they haven't played in 10 years
