That sounds like my home, too, except instead of being cold as fuck in January it just has torrential downpour for a few months and then goes back to being hot as fuck nearly year-round.
After I moved here and experienced moderate coastal weather I wondered why I didn't move sooner. In the winter it gets to maybe the 20's at the lowest, but other than that and the occasional freakishly warm (80's) day it's always in the 50's-60's. So nice.

in my room the temperature has been fairly similar over the last couple of ten years and i am sceptical about the findings of scientists at the north pole.

yeah, my co-worker told me that people who get grants or whatever will quit sooner rather than later just for the money...or something.

sure enough, saw a few people that came in late, didn't pay attention, and just had spiral notebooks.

Man... I was just talking to someone about that today-- the people that drop out after they get their financial aid checks. Don't they realize they have to give the money back if they drop out?!

My school's weird because you can tell who is in what course by just looking at them. The people in suits are in Music Business, the people all glammed up are in Music Performance, the geeks are Animation or Film and everyone who's left is in Audio Engineering.

It's okay. Maybe your CC offers English classes you can take.

I wanna learn French.

Friday morning I have an appointment with my advisor (whom I loathe) to see if there's anything she can do to help me meet my requirements and avoid an extra semester of non-degree related classes. Wish me luck, guys. I dunno how I'll pay for that extra semester if I have to stick around for it... I'd really like to graduate and get the heck out of school this year. Well, next year, really. You know.

CC was pretty awesome. The kids in my classes weren't complete fuck-ups for the most past. I found the show-off types to be 100x more irritating than the "dumber" kids; at least they tried for the most part. I can't count the number of times I wanted to neck-punch some mouthy bitch or some dumbass kid trying desperately to impress every one in the class with their wealth of knowledge (ie: complete bullshit).

But yeah, regardless of what any one says about CC's, they aren't that bad. Hell, some of the classes I took at CC were just as difficult as anything I've taken since then. I had a WW2 history class at CC one semester that I had to write over 95 pages for; I haven't come close to that at regular university.

Anyway, its a good way to jack-up your GPA and get into a good school, something that would have been impossible for me out of high school given my shitty grades and mediocre SAT scores.

My sched for this upcomming semester (starting Monday):

3rd Year History Major - SUNY Geneseo

Monday:
10:30 to 11:20 - POLISCI 120 - Comparative Politics
3:00 to 4:40 - HIST 220 - Stalin & Stalinism

Tuesday:
8:30 to 9:45 - HIST 281 - Traditional East Asian History to 1840
9:55 - 11:10 - ARTH 171 - Art History: Prehistoric
12:45 - 2:00 - SPAN 101 - Elementary Spanish (lol)

Wednesday:
10:30 to 11:20 - POLISCI 120 - Comparative Politics
3:00 to 4:40 - HIST 220 - Stalin & Stalinism

Thursday:
8:30 to 9:45 - HIST 281 - Traditional East Asian History to 1840
9:55 - 11:10 - ARTH 171 - Art History: Prehistoric
12:45 - 2:00 - SPAN 101 - Elementary Spanish (loLZZ)

Friday:
10:30 - 11:20 - POLISCI 120 - Comparative Politics

21 Books total equaling $584.

My schedule actually isn't that bad. I've managed worse . My potential workload could kick my ass though. As long as I don't have to write more than 120ish pages worth of stuff total I should be fine. I've got no problems writing papers, but that shit can get old real fast when you have five to six page papers due every other day. I went through that last semester and I thought I was going to off someone.

Man, you must live where I do. I've still got a huge heat headache from today. I walked all the way from the back of campus to the very front building in 108º heat index this morning because of the stupid parking situation we have. And it only got worse as the day progressed. And it'll probably be next year when it gets really cold again.
