ok it is time to start pumping these videos out with the video that has surface and what audio we have gotten. i will start with the 15th and work my way up. placing out 1 a week. I think waiting for additional footage at this point is pointless

What about working on 7/31 first since it is complete and has multiple video angles?

I am down with that, but aren't there any others that could be worked on that are complete?

It would just be bad if somehow another video/audio surfaced later for say 7/15 but you already released an incomplete version.

For example I know there are many Asheville videos that haven't been released yet, mainly because they were done by people outside of this board who may not be diehard SP fans, and they get around to transferring/editing whenever they have time (i.e. some people from Tradersden).

Just so I understand, MonteLDS, you haven't done any of the shows yet, but you will, and are in the process of deciding whether to do them in Blu-Ray or DVD, right?

Eventually, you will still do the Santa Cruz show, right?

Can you also expand on what you liked about the Santa Cruz crowd, and how it was different? Thanks!

the santa cruz dvd is out. not sure if i will do an HD one of it.. i liked santa cruz crowd better because they were into the show. a lot of good energy. where fillmore they weren't so rocking.

i am going release the 15th show in two formats. Blu-Ray and DVD. if the HD format is well taken then i will continue to give out a HD copies and drop DVD. if not i will just do DVDs

Thanks for the response.

Do you have a link to more info on the Santa Cruz DVD? I couldn't find it.

What do we have to do to get it? Thanks.

Nice!

I just checked -- I've been seeding 4/7/96 on Trader's Den for 5 months straight right now... so I will definitely seed any and all Fillmore shows as much as possible

He seeded the Bit Torrent there. If you are not familiar with Bit Torrent, go to the main Trading Forum page ( http://forums.netphoria.org/forumdisplay.php?f=8 ) and there is a sticky thread at the top which explains it, or you can Google for more info; there are tons of sites that explain it.

Monte, please switch to Traders Den for the others -- I am the only person still seeding the Santa Craz on PirateBay -- people there leech and then quit not long after

I would also like to thank everyone for their work on this project. And also to thank JRiordan who volunteered to burn DVDs for us who don't like torrents.

Thanks, after I download the torrent, do I have to burn the files on a DVD-R using a DVD Burner, to be able to play them?

The more other concerts I go to (from other bands), after the Santa Cruz show, the more I realize just how awesome the SP were that night. I felt it then, but after seeing other concerts, I feel it even more.

Is this true JRiordan? If so, what do I have to do, is there anything you need from my end?

I'd appreciate it if you could do burn a DVD for me, JRiordan. Thanks.

it'll be greatly appreciated if a release date is announced for these residencies, but thanks for making the effort to record all of these shows.

It's not exactly an official release is it or do you want their to be a release party as well??? I say the recording gets delayed by a day due to people like you. You're giving thanks but then demanding a date when the tapers need to do it by for you.

Abandoned? You have to be kidding me? You don't print out business cards to hand out at shows and collect miniDV tapes from every single source just to say, "sorry, I'm abandoning this project".

Shame on you, Monte. You conned everyone into sending you their tapes and I'm not sure if you ever had any intention of spreading them. Shame on you.

I hope I'm not the only one who sent him clones, rather than masters. I'd be happy to mix the 2 nights I taped if the resources could be rounded up. FYI, I shot 2 angles each night. Here's what I need...

I was joking about the "abandoned" thing. Monte hasn't said anything about it lately, so I don't know what the true status is, but I think the fact that you are excited about getting something done could help motivate him. Maybe you should PM him too

ahh, well I take back some of the anger in that post then, haha.

But I'm done emailing Monte. He doesn't email me back, he doesn't follow through.

Lets recap...

I sent 11 tapes to Monte on 8/20. I emailed for an update 4+ months later on January 9th. I did not get a response so 3+ weeks later on Januaray 31st, I emailed again demanding a response. He responded immediately saying the tapes will go out on that Saturday, 2 days later.

It's now been a month and half and I have yet to receive a package so I decided to check this thread and board. Monte, you sure do put in a lot of time here. Please log off for a minute and mail my tapes, thanks.
