Regarding the Courtney Love Triangle...

I've met a lot of Nirvana diehards who believe wholeheartedly that Courtney Love murdered Kurt Cobain. As far as I can tell, their basis for this argument are the last few lines of his suicide note, which are written slightly more erratically than the rest of the note, and because it changes from what appears (to some) to be a farewell letter to his fans to a "goodbye forever, please don't give up on yourself" note to Courtney.

While I feel that the sudden shift in tone may have been caused by, say I don't know... the shitload of herion in his system added to his already chaotic state of mind and these people pretty much have their heads up their asses, I guess I was just wondering if any of you have heard any of these people try to point the finger at Billy as well. After all, I don't believe for one second that Courtney Love is smart enough to get away with murder, but I suppose if she had someone do all the work for her (much the way she's had for her entire career) it could be possible.

Now let me clarify here. I don't believe Kurt Cobain was murdered. And even if he was, I don't believe for one second that Billy Corgan had ANYTHING to do with it, nor am I in any way implying that he did. I'm just curious if any Cobain cultists ever tried to accuse him of it with the whole rivalry thing in both their personal and professional lives.

I've heard the Billy Corgan killed Kurt theory before.

I do think its interesting that he couldnt have reached the trigger without using his feet and that his shoes were on

i remember reading in billys bio that he was in his hotel room in texas crying about it when he heard on the news.. so he couldn't have killed him

i certainly have my suspicions, mainly just because courtney is a complete loon, but i dont really know...

as for billy, he may be eccentric in some ways but hes not f-ing insane like she is, so i cant imagine he played any role in kurts death. however, i still dont understand how he is so close to such a trainwreck.

i've joking thought of Billy being involved.

I actually recently looked at my rollingstone magazine with SD SP on the front and there was a little thing on Kurt being in a short coma becuase he mixed alkie and medication. Later on it goes how he is fine and will still headline lollapalooza....

if anyone has seen some of Courtney Love's handwriting (i know it's on the back of a couple of her singles), it looks frigteningly similar to the last couple of lines of Kurt's note. Try to search it out, it is really interesting to see.

Also, what about that El Duce guy from the Mentors? What's the story there?

read the book "love and death"

kurt was murdered. a man in the book tells the writers who courtney hired to do it (allan wrench). that man is dead the next week.

kurt had three times the fatal limit of heroin in his body at the time of death. the theory being he was injected by someone else and then shot. the culprit then set it up to look like a suicide.

also the book mentions that in her grief courtney holed up with billy the week after kurts death in a hotel in san diego.

billly had nothing to do with the death. courtney did. and billy supported courtney afterwards.

the book is really good and has a detailed timeline of the whole event.
