this is a couple of blocks away from where i live, the illuminations are only on in the winter;

Well this is the best I could find - some dumb girl asking one of the ice cream dudes for free ice cream for her birthday, and getting rejected. This is the park that I grew up across the street from and wasted SO many years of my childhood in.

A fire by the train tracks, apparently pretty close to my house...

I ended up finding more about the neighborhood I went to school in for 6 years (also the same neighborhood Liz went to college)

• frightening behaviour = incorrectly worn clothes + the FINGER
• who is responsible for the intimidation/violence/drugs — gang members or CHILDREN?
• it SMELLS (not blamed on gangs/children)
• elderly security guards useless if MAYHEM breaks out but it's reassuring to have them around anyway

The Venetian Pool was built in 1923 and its water comes from the coral aquifers directly beneath.

Believe it or not, this is the municipal pool for Coral Gables, Florida.
