I dont think i can remember the critics opinions being split so much before. i'd guess 3/5 or something like that.

Well, after them insinuating that Billy wrote that parody of an open letter, who the fuck knows?

I am genuinely surprised by these mixed reviews.

Of all the reviews that hate the album, other than production issues, they all seem to hate very different things and pick on very different things. One even said Jimmy's drumming sucked while all the others said that was among the only stand-out quality characteristics of the album.

Same goes for the positive ones. Some say "Bring the Light" rules while others say "skip this Zwany song and check out Doomsday Clock."

Honestly, these things are all over the place.

All of them seem to agree however: Billy is a douchebag.

I'll say it gets two stars and a bad review, but in a different part of the magazine, a smaller article will talk about how one of the songs is a must listen (and probably contradict everything the review said). Rolling stone likes to do that to cover their bases.

They are a shitty magazine with shitty reviewers, so I predict a 2 1/2 or a 3 star. Thta magazine just doesn't have a clue!

they didn't give the green album 5 stars. they did say that pinkerton was one of the worst albums of the year back in 1996, but if you go look at it now on the website, they have it with a 5 star review.

but, they had a live video review of zeitgeist that was very positive. i predict 3 to 3 1/2

They just posted the Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire review on their main page.
Meanwhile, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the movie in theaters.

so you might want to expect them to repost the machina review instead of zeitgeist.

yep. rollingstone's music reviews are almost as lame as their movie reviews. i wish they were as irrelevant.

Guess what most Weezer fans hated that album when it came out also. That has to be the bigest example of an album that improves with age.
