it is quite bizarre that this place is so full of pumpkin hate. if you go on 99% of music boards you'll find the posters being positive about the band. netphoria is a one in a million. if you've never heard of this place before i could understand why i newcomer would be so baffled.

This may shock you, but there are other boards on this forum dedicated to other topics than the Smashing Pumpkins. This board is just one of many that people visit on a daily/weekly/whatever-ly basis.

The "honest" answer would be everyone has varying tastes and won't jump on anything and everything Billy Corgan puts out. Just because he makes music doesn't mean everyone is going to like it. I've read the reviews on sp.com and people who are saying Zeitgeist is a masterpiece are those people who will jump on his dick regardless what he puts out. This poster thinks it's a good album, but that's one opinion amongst thousands.
