Pomp and Circumstance is the best song on the album. BY FAR. Just listen to it... it's beautiful.

Trotskilicious I really don't care you're a douchebag who dosen't like anything Billy puts out.

Pomp and Circumstance sounds like a cheezy anthem to Yoshi's Story N64.

yeah you know i don't think there was any old boarder as persistant in the defense of Tarantula as me astrosfan, you may have missed that.

this album is average, adequate, it's really not stellar at all.

it does have the nice distinction of being the first SP album that wasn't too long

adore would have been much better if it was 12 songs, i liked that album but i listened to it recently and it just draaaags at points

It's really freaking long. It gives Tool Lateralus a run for it's money.

"Pomp and Circumstance" is a little too weird for me, even though I usually like outlandish stuff. It may grow on me. "For God and Country" is a close second for the same reasons; at this point I prefer the acoustic version they've played live.

it's called Enya. look into it. you'll find much more of the same "beauty" there.

Please don't ever mention a Tool album in the same sentence as Adore.

I love "Adore" and "Lateralus."

Adore doesn't really drag, in my opinion. I guess it probably should have ended at its climax, though (For Martha). I don't think Blank Page/17 ends as strongly. TODAPP and Annie-Dog are really the only "draggy" part of the album, and it picks up with Shame and Night Mare, which are great songs.

Machina on the other hand goes on far too long. Sacred & Profane, HMM, Imploding Voice, GatGC, Crying Tree, Blue Skies are decent at best songs (some of those are terrible, in my opinion) that are just really long for the sake of being long. Even some of the better songs like R+S, I of the Mourning, and Wound are longer than they needed to be. Aside from "Bring the Light," Zeitgeist gets right to the point, and I think it flows better as a result.

Same here, when I first saw the video from the Paris show I was really looking forward to the album version of this song but after hearing it it will probably be one that I skip over many times, same with P&S, just can't get into it. The album starts out strong but lacks at the end IMO. Tracks 8-12 are meh for me with the exception of Come on Lets Go!.

I can't believe how divided people are over this, everyone hates something different

for me- bring the light, the lyrics suck, doesn't really go anywhere. everything else is awesome, including fg&c and pomp, surprisingly

It took me a while to get used to the clean guitar tone in Thats the Way. But the song has been in my head all morning...
Come On Lets Go is a little too...jock rock for me at this point...
But at this point Id have to go with Pomp.

I can't believe so many people dislike Pomp and Circumstance.

I think it is a work of genius. The most powerful song I have heard in years.

Think about what it would be like if you hadn't heard the songs live- Like Starz,United States,FG&C, 7Shades -so much better live because you can hear the passion. I like the studio versions but I've been jaded by seeing them and hearing all the boots so far.

I'd have a different perspective on the Zeitgeist if I hadn't seen/heard them live.

can't pick a least fav, i'm equally unmoved by all the songs that aren't DC, 7 shades, DFA, and tarantula.

i almost like US.
as much as i agree with FGAC's lyrics it doesn't do anything for me as music.

just for the sake of it, i'll pick neverlost. this sounds like a really bad zwan reject.

It's fascinating how it seems that every song has been nomitated as a favorite and a least favorite. I'd imagine there is a thread buried somewhere here on the boards as to the same topic for MCIS - I wonder if it is as widely liked/disliked as Zeitgeist.

I'm not to the point of picking a least favorite, but I can say that my biggest disappointed in the limited time I've listened to it is 7 Shades.

track 4 sounds like it was leftover from machina so that gets my vote
