Default The "Doomsday Clock sucks" thread

Listen to it.

It repeats 4 times, and then goes into a lame unterlude, all along the lyrics make you cringe and then, mercifully, it ends.

It doesn't rock.
It sucks.

Admit it.

the guitar part sounds good and the drums are awesome, but as a song, it is a fail

It's the interlude that kills me. And the roboty voice part.

the robot vocals surprised me - it seems really gimmicky how they only applied that effect for like half a line of verse or whatever.

Someone said in another thread that it was reminiscent of the "robots in disguise" voice from the Transformers. I wonder how long they knew this song was on the soundtrack. Though that would be so uber-gimmicky I don't even want to think about it.

Urggh I want to set all these people on fire.

This song is what i've been waiting for, anyone who was expecting another Cherub Rock or Jellybelly is living in the 90's.

The pumpkins have consistently changed with every release, even as individual albums run through. I believe Zeitgeist will do well, perhaps not in a popular market but those interested will give it a listen.

I don't care what Billy does, if he wants Paris Hilton on the cover of Tarantula then so be it. If he wants to multi-track his vocals then so what?

He's been tired of the standard Rock format for quite some time, hence Zwan and his solo album - so give him a break, he owes you nothing and if you don't like the song, just keep it to one thread, rather than 10 or more.

Nothing else gets the priority of 10 parallel threads, everything else gets deleted or merged. Actually if you have a problem with Zeitgeist just disconnect your internet connection and type away to your fucking self.

Where's the fun in that?

I actually don't hate the song, and I don't think it sucks. I really dislike that bridge, though. Maybe one day I'll get over it and move on with my life.

the 'robot voice' sounds nothing more than a preset in the super-tap delay waves plugin. i think its called 'oil tanker' or some shit.

the doomsday clock riff is like identical to "Tarantula" exept with a different ryhthm. Are all the songs going to start off with a boring metal tone guitar droning?

It requires headphone cranking, but ultimately it is "eh." I'm not terribly impressed with the vocals. I have to confess, it makes me miss "Mina Loy".
