Default Remember Bill's gig w/ pete townsend..

Do we have any information if any of the new songs that he played were ones that we have now heard? I remeber somebody reviewing the show saying that the new songs were terribly boring...

I'd been waiting for a bootleg of that concert to come out but it never did.

I remember checking that site for it every day for like two / three weeks. Never showed up, though. That was back in the information drought when people went crazy over tiny glimmers of hope.

Bill had a song he played at that gig that sparked my interest called shangrilol. I would surely like to hear it one of these days.

Someone who was there described the chorus as Bill repeating shangri la a bunch of times or something. Thus the working title of the song is deemed shangrilol by the likes of me.

ah, but it also could have just been one of the songs we'd already heard, with different lyrics?

Shangrilol strikes me as something original.

Am I supposed to be reading this as Shangri lol? If Shangrilol is the title of a song, the headline should be, "BC's song title hijacked by netphorian sensibilities..."

i remember reading one relation/review on the web just after this concert and as far as I can recall there was a mention of someone calling them 'chicago songs', which would actually agree with another person calling the songs 'boring' (not that I think they are boring, in fact quite the opposite; but they could be boring for an average The Who fan at the first listen).
