1) Le Deux Machina - let's pretend to have an appreciation for artsy classical, then fuck it up severly!

2) Because You Are - just no

3) Heavy Metal Machine (either version) - See Aboev

4) Annie Dog - If he didnt have a shit headcold in it and sound even worse then usual, it might have been okay

5) The Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete - Sounds like a kid's song..... about drugs

6) Farewell and Goodnight - The pumpkins try to be cute (aww)

7) Beautiful (the last bit is okay, but you have to listen to most of the song to get to it)

8) Take Me Down - Throughout all of the pumpkins, James sings only two good songs. This isnt one of them (for reference: Blew away and Go)

9) Whir - don't udnerstand the appeal in this one

10) Blue Skies Bring Tears (though the arising version is in my top 10 favourite ones)

based on album releases and not demos or alt. versions of songs. Also only Corgan songs since all Iha's songs suck.

Apples + Oranjes
Soot + Stars
Crying Tree Of Mercury
Raindrops and Sunshowers
Lucky 13
Innosense
Because You Are
Tales Of A Scorched Earth
Real Love
Sweet Sweet

i will just go with the major albums and official b-side collections. The worst pumpkin songs are clearly some of the undeveloped and poorly produced demos/b-sides over the years that we have only from bootlegs. No Iha songs either.

No order

Tristessa
Spaceboy
Annie dog(I hate when he sings like that... all the live versions are ok)
Try Try Try
In my body
Spaced
Because you are(production makes it unlistenable)
My mistake
Blank
Speed Kills

those are the ones that come to mind for song I really can't stand

if billy isn't gonna keep doing the same style of music over and over
i don't even want to be associated with this band as a fan.

im gonna go listen to AC/DC's fly on the wall

you are a FREAKIN IDIOT. By all means make different types of rock music and thats cool....from gish through mcis...sp played a different tone/type of rock music and nobody complained because the songs sounded different but remained GREAT. Do you have to ABONDON A GUITAR...IN ORDER TO MOVE ON AS AN ARTIST? YOUR DEFINING SOUND AS A BAND IS DERIVED FROM GUITARS AND DRUMS.....AND THEN YOU MAKE THAT PIECE OF SHIT ALBUM ADORE....WHICH IN MANY TRACKS YOU WONDER....WHERE ARE THE INSTRUMENtS? GET REAL YOU MORON.......AFTER LISTENING TO ROCK MUSIC FOR 15 YEARS I HAVE NEVER SEEN A BAND GO FROM ONE TYPE OF MUSIC TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TYPE.

THE SONG ANNIE DOG SPEAKS VOLUMES FOR ADORE. GO LISTEN TO AC DC AND SHUT UP. I liked a few songs on machina and machina2.......zeitgeist will be great from what I am hearing but dont tell an old school pumpkins fan that adore is a great album and deserves respect because its different. And as for lyrics....if I want pure poetry I read poetry......albums like sd and mcis had amazing lyrics coupled with amazing guitars and drums...

Speaking as an "old school pumpkin fan", Adore is my second favorite SP album (next to Siamese Dream). Who cares what kind of instrument is being played as long as a song moves you?

Anyway, my least favorite Pumpkins songs have got to be all of James' songs (except "...said sadly"). I just don't like his voice. And ...said sadly was only good because of Nina Gordon. The only Billy songs that I can agree with that have been mentioned already are Chewing Gum and Because You Are.

I like it.

Someone earlier in the thread (or maybe elsewhere) said the Tonight, Tonight single from the box set was the best EP. I'd say the 33 one is. Every song on there is good. I love that disc.

Did you just ******* Tristessa? No way. That guitar solo eats your kind for breakfast.

And...Spaced is fun. Such a cool album closer.

There is a band for people like you: Nickelback.

See The Beatles for a rock band that tried different types of music with vastly different instrumentation.

Nice usage of CAPS LOCK, though. The ellipses are lovely as well.
