Default They need to re-think their setlists for the festivals...

Ok, so I'm a HUGE pumpkins fan, couldn't wait for them to return, and I personally love the stuff I've heard from the first few shows back and am excited about the direction of the music... With that said, these festival slots they need to get out there and rock.

I would suggest the following:

- No acoustic interlude (Winterlong, To Sheila.... it's a ROCK festival Billy!)
- No more than 5 new songs
- Don't close with something that's not even on the new record (I love Gossamer, but if it's a jam you want, give us in the crowd Silverfuck, TAFH, or Ruby)

Finally, I would have had no complaints if I was able to catch today's show or Pinkpop, but in a perfect world my setlist would have been harder hitting, something along the lines of this:

1. Tarantula
2. Cherub Rock
3. Stand Inside Your Love
4. Hummer
5. Bleeding The Orchid
6. Cash Car Star
7. Rocket (electric of course)
8. I Am One
9. 7 Shades of Black
10. BWBW
11. Tonight
12. Ava Adore
13. Starz
14. Muzzle
15. Drown
16. Never Lost
17. Disarm
18. 1979
----- ENCORE -----
19. Thru The Eyes of Ruby

i dont think they should stop acoustic songs, or play less than 5 new songs, or end with an old song, but i think they should play some songs they have not played on the tour yet
the only songs they play now are the 9 zeitgeist songs, today, BWBW, some ofthose acoustic, untitled, disarm,....its the same thing over and over again

The whole point of SP is that it's loud and quiet music! You have to have a contrast and the interludes, otherwise the loud stuff will be lost and sound samey.

True, I don't think they should play the same show over and over, how sad would that be especially with all the material they have.

if they did a minimal amount of new songs it would be a reunion tour.....and it's not.

quiet songs dont work at festivals. people get bored more easily than at sideshows.

So in essence you want the hits + Zeitgeist.
....
Fucking boring, dude. That setlist is kinda weak. I agree with the point that you need the slow or acoustic tunes to give the set SP texture.
