this might be one of the last post i make on the board. my brain chemistry has gone through some remarkable changes lately. why do i hate eulogy? because he shows why life is unfair on a very basic level
Extraversion Extraversion (also "extroversion") is marked by pronounced engagement with the external world. Extraverts enjoy being with people, are full of energy, and often experience positive emotions. They tend to be enthusiastic, action-oriented individuals who are likely to say "Yes!" or "Let's go!" to opportunities for excitement. In groups they like to talk, assert themselves, and draw attention to themselves. Introverts lack the exuberance, energy, and activity levels of extraverts. They tend to be quiet, low-key, deliberate, and less dependent on the social world. Their lack of social involvement should not be interpreted as shyness or depression; the introvert simply needs less stimulation than an extravert and more time alone to re-charge their batteries. Sample Extraversion Items I am the life of the party. I don't mind being the center of attention. I feel comfortable around people. I start conversations. I talk to a lot of different people at parties. I am quiet around strangers. (reversed) I don't like to draw attention to myself. (reversed) I don't talk a lot. (reversed) I have little to say. (reversed) I keep in the background. (reversed) this is why i hate you eulogy, because even though our genes uses different strategies, perhaps even equal strategies to spread, your genes make you feel happy all the time, my genes makes me feel miserable. thanks a lot god, you cunt. |

they don't equate introversion with loneliness and depression, but of course, the risk of being lonely for long stretches of time gets bigger and even if i found people that i'd like to spend time with, i wouldn't feel that wonderfull energy and love for life that you do.

Mr. Koontz, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

i don't know what it is with your posts warsaw, as soon as i start writing a response i just feel all will to live being drained out of my body. i don't know what it is, god knows i've responded to worse posts in my time. perhaps it is the fact that you're just so painfully middle of the road bad and there really isn't much i can write that i haven't written hundred times before, but with targets that deserved it just a bit more.

You know what story I would really enjoy however, is one that fleshes out exactly what the remaining two triforce pieces do, and then having that expressed multiple times during the game as well as flesh out Ganon's power more often. Link's triforce piece is pretty useless when I think about it, and I can't recall ever finding out what it ever DOES for him. How can it be the power of the gods when it doesn't help him in any way? He starts off everygame not knowing he has the triforce of courage, and is still coruageous enough to take on massive tasks in the first place, not to mention other support characters show his same bravery. Zelda's triforce is just as mysterious. OOT let us watch her blast Ganon with energy shots... and in every title she's had the power to summon light arrows to help Link but other than that, she can't do much. I would like to know what sort of infinite power she has with this Triforce of Wisdom, and not have her get beat up and kidnapped and in distress every single time. If she's going to rule Hyrule with the power of the gods, she needs to have something. Ganondorfs has been realized ever since OOT. It allows him to mutate into his beast form, it allows him to come back from the dead over and over again, it allows him to have unbelievable strength as well. It really makes you WANT the Triforce of Power because he does so many extraordinary things with it. He can curse people, freeze waters, banish people to the twilight realm (i.e. Phantom Ganondorf). But the problem is, Nintendo always builds up his strength through amazing cutscenes that fortell of his awesome strength and power to do whatever he wants... and then you fight him and it's just a small sword battle where he gets cut to shreds everytime. I'd like to see a fight where he really does epic, jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring, destructive things that make you fear him and really show forth his power, not a small clash of swords for 5 minutes where he gets injured by his own energy blasts. OOT came the closest to realizing this in the final battle. The music was tear-inducing, the settign was perfect and omnious, and he really looked powerful. |

[edit] Correlates of Openness
Openness is correlated weakly (≤.3) with measures of creativity, and with intelligence test scores. Current analyses suggest that the correlation with IQ is due to a subset of Openness measures acting as self-report IQ measures. It is possible that openness is a mechanism facilitating access to novel thoughts — this would explain the correlation of openness (O) to responses on creativity measures such as imagining different uses for common objects. Openness is often presented as healthier or more mature by psychologists. However, open and closed styles of thinking are useful in different environments. The intellectual style of the open person may serve a professor well, but research has shown that closed thinking is related to superior job performance in police work, sales, and a number of service occupations. |

Several months ago I was at a local YMCA working out as I do a couple of times a week when my schedule allows it. As I'm leaving I grab a sip of water from one of the two adjacent water fountains outside of the weight room. As I finish I see a [white]woman about half way down the hall. We pass about 6 feet from the fountains as she heads there her self.. Now, I havn't experienced much blatant racism, but for some reason I look back curious to see if she'll drink out of the fountain I had just used, or would she walk past the adult fountain, bend all the way down and use the children's fountain. Low and behold the woman, who wasn't a short woman by any stretch, walks past the taller adult fountain, and bends down and drinks from the kiddy fountain.
I KNOW without question she saw me drinking from the fountain, and I'm sure thats why she chose to drink from the other. Oddly enough, I wasn't really offended at all. In fact, I felt sorry that a person this day in age could still harbor such ignorance. |
