its horrible that they sent them to her parents though.

sucks that it happened, but what are you gonna do you know?

its even more awful that people think they're getting something out of making the parents and siblings that upset? like they weren't upset already? like they were denying it or something? i dont get how that's exactly funny other than the 'i told you so' but um....they probably get it by now.

things like rotten.com are interesting because they're so visceral and bizarre and the like, but its probably a great thing they don't come with contact information.

I guarantee that the cops and medics who rolled up on this had a good laugh at her expense. It is kinda sick yes, but gallows humor is the #1 way to deal with some of this shit. On a side note, the inside of human head smells like ass. I'm sure this was a stinky mess.

yeah i understand that's how you deal with it, but teenagers and idiots who just found these pics thought they'd be 'cool' or 'funny' putting the pics in an email to her fucking father? the child he had raised since she was born from the womb of his wife! flesh of his flesh! and they think they're being fucking FUNNY?

i'm disgusted with people like that

A Porsche Carerra is not worth $150,000. The family probably just threw in that detail in the story to try and show off.

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what I'm saying. I'm quite an unsympathetic person when it comes to girls from California that I don't even know. She was also doing 100+ mph... not that you deserve to die if you drive that fast, but it's really no surprise.

seriously sending an email like that to her fucking dad 'woo its your dead daughter" that's just despicable and not even remotely funny.
anyone that would do that should be ashamed of themselves, and their parents obviously didn't raise them right.

i can understand how its far removed from most people and how they can say things in an 'i told you so' tone, and that's fine, but to personally go out and attack her family for personal enjoyment is just bizzare as much as it is disgusting.

seriously that's fucked up.

i disabled images to read this thread... some of the posters make it sound like it was her porsche.. it says right in the article that her dad had taken away the keys to her car because of an arguement and she grabbed the keys to his porsche, which she had never driven before

also - the juerto, i always kind of wondered about that in the back of my mind (about the smell). i guess i know now :/

So instead of a brat with a porsche, she's a brat who stole her dad's porsche. Whatevs.

Yeah it is. A 911 Turbo will run around 150k after markup and importing it. There's a multi-year long waiting list, so they can charge practically whatever they want.

I'm saying she shouldn't have even entered the vehicle. It's got a lot of power and it's a funny car. Her parents probably recognize how difficult it is to drive and that's why she never drove it before the time she wrecked it. Imagine driving go-karts for two years then suddenly getting in a real car, the difference would be pretty similar.

A guy who lives in the same neighborhood as my friend wrecked his Porsche 911 Turbo a month or two ago, so actually pretty recently after I found this on the internet. It was pretty weird. Recently my friends and I went to the crash scene (we drive past it almost every day, but we never went to investigate). The guy clearly did the exact same thing, went around a turn, started to rotate, got scared he was going too fast, hit the brake, shifted his weight, rotated even more, and slid sideways off the road going at least 90... He went airborn through about 5 trees before there was a big clearing where the car landed.

He killed himself and his passenger. It happened while his daughter was having a party at his house. He went to show it off to his friend and he wrecked it. Pretty sad, really. In an AWD vehicle, when you start to slide (or are near the edge of traction) you don't brake, you actually gently accelerate. The AWD system should bring you through, unless you're in an SUV or something, whereas you'll just roll.

FWIW, it's pretty freakin horrible to send someone pictures of their daughter's dismembered corpse. That's really, really sick. If there's a hell, whoever sent that is sure to burn in it.

I'd imagine her father's gone through hell, wishing he never bought that car. He probably blames himself, though he shouldn't...

Yeah it isn't pleasant. It smells a bit like a raw steak with a bit more of a stinging odor. If you get to it quick enough (and close enough as in an intubation attempt or some other treatment) it is even worse because it dampens the air seemingly increasing the humidity.

As for what others have said, completely fucked up to send the pictures to her dad. It is one thing to be on scene and have a chuckle but another to subject that poor bastard to that sort of thing.

As for on scene, my favorite joke with newbies on stuff like this is to fake key up the radio and say "dispatch 202 be advised we will need all of the kings horses and all of the kings men to report to the scene."

you don't have to empathize with anyone person in this situation to know that is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY uncalled for AND disgusting. I hope they do win a civil lawsuit for whoever it was that released these pictures to the general public because degrading someone's memory TO their loved ones like that is wrong morally, ethically, and shouldn't be taken lightly.
Those idiots should be ashamed of themselves

Man, no one does that here. I would be so happy if the people I worked with had a sense of humor. I haven't ridden for a year (I'm an EMT-B) but I hope to go back sometime after the kid is born.

But yeah. That's funny.
