Seriously.. Does anyobody here who is in their right mind think this TPQ shit is 'good' or 'right' or 'fun' or 'interesting' or even 'cool' to stretch it to the complete maximum. I have many grievances with this bollocks... (that's exactly the word for it)

1.
SP fans are nutty enough already. Honestly. The few people I know here who are really into them (like your ma was into the beatles), are all fucking mad in some way.They seem perfectly together and sane, but they ain't!Give them an inch and they'll take a mile...... Sp fans are kinda like Michael Jackson fans don't ya think?.....*x-files theme tune*

I for one, feel so uncomfortable with the whole 'let's stand together as one unified force!' shit. To me music is fucking personal...not to sound like a sap but especially when it comes to this band. I got into them when I was 9, way later than you people but fuck I'm only 20 now! I don't want to get together and say 'WAHEY LETS PROMOTE AND SHOUT ABOUT SMASHING PUMPKINS TO EVERYONE AND HOW MUCH WE THINK THEY ROCK 'MAN!'' because it feels.. (unlike it's supposed to)..impersonal..,forced and last but not least.. totally fucking patronizing (not to mention retarded).

What's the point?In the end, if it suceeds..all it will do will be to make money for someone. Either Warner or the band themselves. Little teeny-rockers who fall for the whole 'unity' myspacey jazz will obviously buy up the merchandise to feel connected, and accepted.. didn't we all do that at some point when we were young? I for one bought into POGS and Tomagotchi and at some point..when I was young..the whole BLUR vs OASIS thing... !

A very small issue aswell is the amount of freaky fucks on those myspace groups.. I mean.. I never thought it would happen but I'm beginning to become embarassed of a band I love. If these 'fans' are so fucking obsessive as they look.. of course they'll pander to any bullshit that they spoonfeed them.At least here people can criticise as well as suck dick!

And I know everyones said this before..reading the posts... but my idea is.. PLEASE, PLEASE can we ban TPQ?Let there be one last refuge for 'normal' (compared to *them*) people to come...let it not be said we sucked at the teet of some mega groupie lackey?

I'm dissapointed in general. All this shit saddens me. I don't want SP to go down the fucking pan even more than they have and be a laughing stock to the world. They had awesome shit to say to me when I was 9.. I'd rather my little nephews or any little kids who are just getting out of the pop phase and looking for some real music not be drawn into some corporate zombie mass clone bullshit.

I think the ultimate goal of any record label is to sell albums. The Smashing Pumpkins are the type of band that want to reach out to their audience... and continue making that audience grow. That's the foundation of the music section on Myspace... to (1) sell albums and (2) develop a larger audience.

I belong to a number of the SP groups on Myspace and I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about how they act or how they physically look? Everyone's entitled to express themselves however they deem appropriate... just as you did with this post. I'm not sure what you're getting at.

As for TPQ, I completely understand... and agree that it's BS that she likes to rub it in our faces about how she has the inside track on the rest of us. As for any relevant news she has to offer, well... how indignant can people be? Just be happy that there's some sort of middle man (or woman) providing information from the band to the fans instead of silence. It could be a lot worse... you're favorite band could be GNR or something...

At least the old-school Pumpkins pages were decent before they were abandoned for seven years straight.

I think I'm just bitter about computers and the net. Still, that beeyotch isn't worth the time, just because of her shite presentation of info and material. I'll wait for a phone call from Billy rather than visit a web site maintained by her.
