I should say that I do think Michigan is a very good team. so it's not totally off base to think they deserve the bowl bid. just misguided.

Generally I think that is indeed true. But my hatred for anything Big Ten has grown in immeasurable amounts lately.

The Gators will get thier much deserved shot at the Buckeyes. This will be a good game, but OSU should win.

USC will have thier hands full with Michigan. Talk about a weird emotional state for both teams...(oh gosh, we only get to play in the rose bowl?) I think Michigan will win this game and get revenge for the last RB loss to SC.

LSU is going to dismantle Notre Dame. Add notch number 9 to the Irish belt of embarassing bowl losses in a row. I actually felt bad for ND. That is not a good draw. A game down in Norleans' against that viscious LSU team. They are really gonna get fucked. Don't even get me started on how at #11 they got into this game over some other teams.

Boise St. will beat Stoops and OU. Boise St. can play football too. BSU's game is pretty insane too. Big trap for OU.

BTW, how fucked did Wisconsin get! Grats on finishing 11-1, heres your shitty consolation of a bowl game.

Since ND doesn't have a conference tie-in, they are (I believe) guaranteed a berth if they are in the BCS top 8, and they are eligible for an at-large berth if they are in the top-14 or something. although all teams are eligible if they are in the top 14, i think. although i could be wrong on some of this.

Because of the ridiculous national draw ND has, they will always be selected if eligible.

Actually this is absolutely false. Flordia has been able to beat teams on defense, and their numbers are similar to Michigan's. Mich is 6th in total defense, Florida 10th. You have never even seen Florida play, have you?

The idea that the option shotgun is a gimmcky offense is absurd. Texas ran option shotgun plays all the time last year, one of the favorites was the QB Switch where the QB has the option of handing off to the back on a sweep or keeping it for himself. The option shotgun is even being run in the NFL with Vick and Young using plays. Obviously, if you run exclusively out of it like WVU does it is a gimmick, but I'm sure Ohio State has some plays that utilize the speed and arm strength of Troy Smith. You cannot gimmickize an offense that makes a viable running threat out of the shotgun formation. So fucking shut the fuck up.
