Kirk just said florida wasn't winning with "style points," which, apparently was talked about and documented. I mean, the only person using this argument is him because it's a bogus argument and makes little sense. I mean what the fuck are style points. Urban Meyer doesn't know. I don't know. Does anyone? I mean what happened to motherfucking winning? How about all the style points Michigan got when they won against teams like Vanderbilt, Northwestern, and Ball State? I mean really someone needs to kill this guy.

Where's Lee Corso to say something silly?

lol just saw Rutgers is playing K-State. I hope the 'Cats beat them up.

We can argue about that rule that lets ND be in bowl games they can't possibly compete in if you would like.

well, there has to be a way to let ND play in a BCS game if they deserve it. And I don't know how well you can provide for that without having outcomes like this sometimes.

and god I hope they prove me wrong.

Yeah but they don't deserve it really. I mean I think they could beat Wake but god, they can't beat any of these teams save for Wake and maybe Boise. But that's only because I have no idea how good boise is in relation to the other good teams in college football. Their only quality win is against Oregon State whatever that's worth. Oregon State is probably in the top 40 but jeez.

And, for the record, LSU is gonna beat ND. The way they've been playing lately? Forget about it.

I don't care what the polls say. Michigan>>>>>>>>>Florida's gimmicky offense and hot-and-cold defense. The Gay-tors will get smoked by the Fuckeyes and the public will wish we'd have gotten a OSU/U of M rematch because at least THAT would have been close.

It's hardly gimmicky. If we stopped trying the get Chris Leak to run the option, then it would be pretty good. The defense is pretty damn good too, so I'm not sure it's going to be a blowout. I expect OSU to be the favorite and I expect them to eek out a win, but it shouldn't be a blowout.

Too bad we have to wait a whole month for this damn game.

Michigan >>> Florida.

Both one loss teams. Michigan has a harder schedule. That's my logic.

And I've still got faith in the Irish.

Michigan has the best defense in the country, and OSU scored 42 points on it. Florida doesn't have a prayer.

HOWEVER...I'm not sure how OSU will matches up against the spread. Every team that runs the spread in the Big Ten sucks ass, so it will at least be interesting to see if a team that runs a good spread offense can match up well with OSU.

If it's a shotgun/spread/option offense, it's a gimmick offense, designed to hide the weaknesses of QBs like Chris Leak. Pass-happy gimmick offenses make clowns like Timmy Chang, Tim Couch, and pretty much any Jeff Tedford-coached QB look like superstars. Take them out of that system and they'd be exposed. That's why they suck after entering the NFL.

Remember, Urban Meyer's system helped make Alex Smith a #1 draft pick...and he's mediocre at best in the pros.

3. Florida's 12 Division I-A opponents had a combined record of 89-57. Michigan's 12 opponents had a combined record of 84-61.

4. Michigan's best win is considered a 27-13 victory over Wisconsin on Sept. 23. The Badgers are 11-1 and have climbed to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 poll, despite having played only one ranked opponent -- the Wolverines -- the entire season.

5. The 12 teams Florida defeated finished the season with 11 combined wins against opponents which were ranked in the AP Top 25 poll at the time the game was played. The opponents Michigan defeated claim just three wins against ranked teams (Notre Dame beat Penn State. Indiana beat Iowa. Vanderbilt beat Georgia. The Nittany Lions, Hawkeyes and Bulldogs, it should be noted, haven't been ranked in seven weeks).

6. The Gators went 3-1 against ranked opponents, beating then-No. 13 Tennessee, No. 9 LSU and No. 8 Arkansas and losing at No. 11 Auburn. The Wolverines went 1-1 against ranked opponents, beating a highly overrated No. 2 Notre Dame team (that lost to Michigan and USC by a combined total of 46 points) and losing at No. 1 Ohio State 42-39 on Nov. 18.
