my friends play and its always funny watching them run around fucking everything up. i love it when you get a joker who decides to take on everybody and just gets rinsed. my friend was walking around the undead city when he started getting messages saying the city was under attack. he looked everywhere and couldn't find any fighting going on. eventually we just found this dude sitting in the corner (a blood guard i think?) with his legs crossed and we went to talk to him and he just said "lol im hiding because i just took on like 10 guards" so eventually this genius gets caught by a posse of 20-30 other players and he's just taking them all on single handed. it was so awkward and hilarious to watch. of course he got his ass kicked but i think he's my personal wow hero. he knows what its about.

I've played off and on (mostly off) since a couple of years ago. I tend to get to the 50's and get sick of it. My most recent character was a 53 Dwarf Priest.

nerd alert

It's not possible to have the words "paladin" and "owned" that close to one another.

Haha. No kidding. Paladin was my first class ever. It was the equivalent of growing up with natural peanut butter and not even knowing until I was in high school that they made peanut butter with sugar in it. Fuck that shit.

Pen and paper D&D is seriously the most fun ever-- I grew up on that shit. Whoever you choose as your dungeon master can really make or break the campaign, though.

i'm sure it's the quality of company, if it wasn't drooling unwashed nerds with no social skills then it would be ok i guess.

You betcha.

Some of my fondest memories ever are from pen/paper D&D. My older brother actually got a tattoo from his old dungeon master's guide he used when we were kids

the dm i played with once had a hard on for alignment. i think alignment is kind of dumb if you make it like some kind of iron law

he said good parties can't play with evil characters because they would have to kill the evil one to be good. he was a turd.

Yeah that guy sounds like a shitty DM. Alignments are good to make things exciting, but they aren't the letter of the law. Mixing good with bad is what makes things fun, and it's more realistic.

i had a lvl 60 ne druid with 2 pieces of the wildheart set, and my boy was a lvl 60 ne warrior with the full valor set.
i had some ne priests and pally and other things. i think the ne or dwarf priests are the best.
the boy got tired of it after a while because you can't really do much past 60 if you dont have a good raiding guild, and all pvp is based on just the armor set...not actual skill.

so now he's wanting me to play ffxi, which is cheaper, but everything is all hidden behind menus. it's the worst to go from WoW to ffxi!
