I didn't watch it last night but my sister recorded it so she could force me to watch it while she worships at the altar of Aaron Sorkin again. I liked Sports Night a lot but I haven't heard much about this show.

i saw the pilot for Studio 60. it looked pretty great. i'm excited to see how it develops.

Entourage is definitely a guys show. i'm not saying that girls wouldn't like it, but it's definitely aimed more towards a male-centric audience.

lastly, Dead proves once again how horrible his tastes are when he gives up on Six Feet Under for being 5 minutes too long.

How can I watch it if I always miss the last 5 minutes? Give me a fuckin break. I never knew how anything ended! It has nothing to do with taste, I said I liked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never remembered to because no other shows were like that. Also, it was on at 11pm on Sundays or something so it was hard to remember to even tape it in the first place.

That'd be more apt. But the station should take some blame for the weird schedule.

We're talking about a specific situation, idiot.

yeah, fuck being different. they should all just conform.

seriously though, i was just thinking the other day about how great it would be if they had more 45 min. shows. it would provide so much more flexibility with story-lines in some shows.

take Carnivale as an example. most of the episodes from that should could have easily been chopped down to 45 min. without doing any real harm to the quality of the show. 30 min. would have been too short, but a 45 min. show would have kept viewers more interested.

i think the show was fucking fantastic as is, i'm just arguing that with 45 min. slots, some of the longer shows might do better.

then, again with guys like Dead making up a good portion of the TV-watching audience, maybe the scheduling would just be too confusing...

It was a reasonably good pilot, I'm keen to see more. Anyone who's watched the first four seasons of West Wing (and aren't blinded by conflicting personal politics as many are) knows the quality of writing that Aaron Sorkin is capable of.

We'll likely see the same level of quality from Whitford and Perry. Most people snicker when you talk about Matthew Perry as a good actor, but anyone who has seen him play Joe Quincy on West Wing knows what he's capable of.

<3 Timothy Busfield too. It'll be a good show.
