They're gonna be 5-0 heading into their game with Virginia Tech.

I just talked to East Coast Douche, and he said BC is going undefeated. They're bringing Flutie and Fallon back to play Miami in the season finale.

You have to remember ND are media darlings for whatever fucking reason. They should have never even been top five, I just don't get it.

The majority of sportswriters are Catholic, hence the media love.

It's pretty true - majority might be a slight exaggeration, but a large majority of your major media writers are catholic.

That and ND is a "pure football institution."

Yeah I'm thinking it's the nostalgia factor. I'm just being skeptical because most of America, outside of the Southwest, is protestant. I wouldn't understand why sportswriters would be mostly catholic. Even still, they probably aren't practicing catholics.

I don't think it's the Catholicism that does it. As a general rule, teams like Michigan and Notre Dame are given more credit than they deserve. Because people just expect them to be good. Michigan sure as shit wasn't a top-5 team last year, and it's the same with ND this year. There was absolutely no reason for ND to even be sniffing the top 5. When the best case you can make about your team is that you almost beat somebody....it's not good.

They weren't even ranked by the end of the year last year. What's your point?

They were the Notre Dame of 2005.

Michigan was 3-3 at one point, dude. They started the year at No. 4, but by week five were out of the polls altogether.

No one was calling for Michigan to be the Best Team On The Planet like some have speculated Notre Dame as being.

Does that negate my point?? They were not good, and they were ranked in the top 5. Notre Dame was not a top 5 team, and they were ranked in the top 5. All I am saying is that ND and Michigan are always given the benefit of the doubt.

And anyone who ever made mention of ND being the best team in the nation is a fucking dumbass.

It does negate your point because I was surprised Michigan sucked last year. Hindsight is twenty twenty.

Also, being Eulogy negates your point most times.
