Dead, Wii games come on standard DVD's. However, the Wii will be lacking DVD movie playback.

im sure the graphics will be fine, if i had to pick between wii or those other two, id definitely pick wii. nintendo has all the best games.

i think sony's gonna go in the pooper eventually, and microsoft will recover. nintendo and microsoft might be like nintendo and sega back when it was the snes vs the sega genesis.

Different hardware. Both MS and Sony sell their consoles at a loss, while Nintendo will make a nice profit with each one.

I still don't see the big deal. So they an economic system and can still profit from it. In a year, production cost will go down and they'll be able to drop the price and still make money on it. Who cares? Just because the other bozos have a system that cost too much to make and they have no choice but to make it cheaper and lose money on it doesn't mean Nintendo should do the same if it doesn't have to.

I never said they have to do it, it's a good business strategy that works great for them. What I said is that I was expecting a lower price, since it's basically a gamecube (cost-wise).

Makes perfect sense, after all, MS has Windows, Xbox Live and overpriced games to fall back on. Sony has practically everything imaginable regarding electronics covered, PC's, MP3 players, TVs. So what if Nintendo marks up a little, it's true; they are only a gaming company. If $250 bucks bothers people -with the only real reason being that people are whining about graphics- then they can go play a nicer looking boring version of Ridge Racer 12 on their $600 Pieceofshitstation 3.

I think it's a good strategy from Nintendo, however as a gamer, Nintendo's financial status is not one of my priorities.
