Actually I read something interesting a while back that was basically saying that bullets moved up a caliber in the usa shortly after the use of cocaine became more prevalent, since it was then said that if a black man took cocaine he was effectively impervious to the bullets of the time.

Yes, but if you opened your mind a bit you’d see that your little ‘stat fact’ over there is just another consequence of other bigger stats. Like unemployment, lack of opportunity, hunger, starvation, and ultimately desperation, which leads to crime.

Well, it applies here anyway.

With our huge unemployment rate, and the majority of the country being made up of black people, which means the majority of unemployed people are black, which means the majority of desperate people are black, which means that the majority of people committing crimes are the desperate black people who really just don’t have options.

Sometimes you need to eat NOW. And sometimes the only option is to go steal someone’s bike and flog it off, or break into someone’s house, or their car or whatever.

There isn’t a problem with difference, but it should be appreciated, not used as an excuse to enforce stupid narrow minded assumptions. People who use our differences as an excuse to hate, or segregate, or treat differently are stupid and disgusting.
If you’re going to treat someone differently because of their race or culture, you should be informed enough to at least do it with respect, and let it be a positive thing, like taking your shoes off before entering certain households or something.
People who make blanketed assumptions, like Ropey Lopey here talking about intelligence levels and sporting potential being reflected by the pigment of your skin, or the part of the world you grew up in, is just silly.

Society and other factors play a much bigger role in the influence of people and their communities, and any similarities that can be recognised in these situations are not ones that have been defined by the race, but rather the society that community is exposed to, their surroundings, their opportunities, their political history etc, not the pigment of their skin, or their DNA makeup or whatever.

My history teacher told me that in America there is an assumption that Black people run faster because the white people have been indulging in a life of gluttony and greed and their psychical abilities have slowly waned in the face of leisure.
