Default Drawn Together

Here in the UK you don't hear about shit until about 5 years after it's actually happened.

I just discovered Drawn Together a couple of weeks ago and have sinced watched seasons 1 + 2. I really wish the episodes were longer and there were more seasons (I hear season 3 comes out in the US soonish?) but the sense of humour in it is just right up my alley, so much of it just tickled me.

I love Captain Hero, Ling Ling and Xandir.

The thing was that I'd never even heard the name of the program before, my brother had got it on dvd from a friend. Anyone else a fan?

i've heard of it before, there was a big poster of it up at my uni. it described all the characters, eg "captain hero - lame superhero", "xandir - gay adventurer" and "ling ling - socipathic pocket monster". i was intrigued. hm maybe they have some eps on youtube? i'll look

They do, but I think it's mostly half episodes and odd scenes. One of my mates is torturing himself by watching through them till i get back next weekend with a copy of the 2 series for him.

it's not funny

You might get one funny moment in an episode if you're lucky

I think it's great. We've been watching it since it came on, and now it's getting a little old but it's still funny as hell. One of my favorites is when Ling Ling gives off some psychedelic substance when he's disappointed.

I love when they have become total addicts and give up on elaborate tricks

"look ling ling there's a quarter, no it's not"

Ling Ling is my favorite character

I can't remember what it was, but I think he was trying to pronounce the name of a shampoo? Was that even the same episode? Anyway he's like Plurr or something and it had me giggling for a while.

It would've been better if they had done it Harvey Birdman style with existing cartoon characters.

I've tried to like "Drawn Together" but it isn't consistently funny, and I agree with the statement that it tries too hard.

Perfect Hair Forever is more to my liking. The Coiffio segement here is funny. How can you miss with a singing hot dog?

drawn together is ok but a big letdown compared to south park/family guy.

perfect hair forever is brilliant, esp. if you're high

has anyone seen the korgath of barbaria pilot?

Yeah, very Venture Bros.'y, but still bad-assfully fun.

I find drawn together consistently fairly funny, but sometimes it's ruined by a couple things. For one, a lot of the funny moments revolve solely around violence or sex humor, still funny, but the show could use more generic/intelligent humor that doesn't have to rely on often random violence / sex jokes. Also yeah, each show really dishes out joke after joke, I wouldn't say it tries too hard when most of the material is great, there just needs to be more build-up sometimes, and sometimes you're confronted with one joke while you're concentrating on another, but anyway, a lot of creative humor comes out of that show.

very much like venture brothers. extremely violent. extremely ridiculous plotlines. extremely ridiculous characters. extremely bizarre shit happening all the time.

i think im hyping it up a little too much here.

I just watched korgoth via youtube. It definitely wasn't that funny, but it was pretty enjoyable, the animation is so crazily dirty/ugly, that is easily the coolest aspect of it.
