garden state is very overrated. some people act like its the best thing in the world where it feels like another chick flick. its decent, but not amazing.

they should have a ten years later sequel where they're both living in a trailer with 3 kids and zach braff wishes he wouldve ditched her at the airport when he had a chance.

Sean Casey owns this thread.

Garden State is one of the biggest pile of shit movies ever made - it's the 5th emo movie that's identical besides cities/names.

Ugh, kill me. Seriously, during the middle of Garden State I swore to God I'd seen the same exact movie at least twice a year since 1994.

after renting thumbsucker and the squid and the whale recently i'm trying to wean myself off of boring, pretentious, nothing-happens independent films about quirky/disfunctional families

ravenguy, the squid and the whale is great and doesnt really have anything to do with the "indie quirk" thing except for the guy who says "brother" a lot

not really. although i did like the part about the kid beating off at school because i could relate. although i never smeared my jism all over the library books, that was a good idea.

if i could turn back time.

You are insane. The Break-up was not funnier than Little Miss Sunshine, the Break-up had 1 (one) funny scene at the dinner table with Aniston's gay brother. It was just a painful movie. I hate to think that Aniston and Vaughn actually date in real life because they seemed like they had no chemistry on screen. They just seemed like oil and water, just moving around each other without interacting. And how can you have a funny movie about a painful breakup where the two characters are either stabbing the other in the back or crying, and to see Vaughn cry was really bad. Please do not try to compare Little Miss Sunshine to the Break-up. I know no one else has probably seen the Break-up so they can't call you out but that movie was utter shit.
