i heard james was there during the rehearsal sessions with Avery. Any truth to that?

I think the music will be good but its hard to have those famous SP dynamics w/o BC having someone to play off of in the studio - should be interesting.

No offence, but I'm filing this one under "internet rumour" for the time being. It'd bum me out if James isn't involved, but until the lineup is made official I will live in hope.

Agreed. I'm not exactly sure what impact Flood had on Machina compared to MCIS - so little comment on the interplay between him and Billy with regard to choices for the album. I think he needs someone with experience, flexibility and a strong opinion - so this guy seems to fit the bill OK. Also, Flood was often opposed to any metal oriented tracks on MCIS (TAFH, Marquis, Mouths of Babes), so this may be an indicator of the album's direction.

So Harrow lives in LA (small town), has a friend of Darcy's ex (being that Darcy is privy to up to date info), heard through the grapevine Eric is fired (Darcy's ex, though he works in the studio knows contract issues), etc...etc...etc...
I want to believe him cuz this would be awesome to know all this inside info, but I am just looking to believe in something with a little more credence to it...

well d'arcy doesn't necessarily need to be in the communication loop for Kerry to have info.. if i'm not mistaken his band was on scratchie, of which james is part owner. also, it's not outside of the realm of possibility that he'd have stayed in touch with any number of people affiliated with the pumpkins..

Sure anything is possible, but how many people claim/have claimed that they have inside info? I just am wondering why the tease with little tidbits of information when all we want is some confirmation on key aspects such as who is in the band etc...If someone has such detailed information as to where a recording session is taking place, then it would be safe to assume that that said person would also know who was going into these sessions. Is is just Billy and Jimmy as some suspect or are there more involved here? That is why I am suspicious of any info...

oh absolutely, i agree. i was just making the point that it's not required that d'arcy be up to date on events. i think we both are viewing this the same way, it'd be foolish to take everything at face value

it's the first time in a while that Corgan has used a brand new producer instead of one of the people we all know to be his in house, go-to-guys [i.e Bjorn, Flood, Alan Moulder, etc.].

I am also fairly skeptical about internet rumors, etc......I'm going to wait and see on this one.
