Arrow Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox are Being No-Hit After 5 Innings

That would be the coolest thing ever if they both got no-hit on the same night.

of course we're talking about a city that went a combined 184 years without a World Series title.

I want to see dual no-hitters in one game.

Esty, so I've been listening to all the MLB radio guys on XM, the last 2 months. The ChiSox guy is not that bad.

But I just do not understand how people can actually like Hawk and DJ. The fact that you have half-way decent radio guys just makes it all the more worse that your TV guys are as bad as anyone in baseball.

Thats Ed Farmer and Chris Singleton. Chris started out bad, but he's gotten way better. Ed's pretty funny and calls an excellent game.

I don't hate Hawk completely. He has always been the WhiteSox guy, so I'm used to him. He's basically a homer like Ron Santo. I can't stand Santo. I'll still take hawk and dj over the Cub guys.

HE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the complete silence the Whte Sox asshats give out when one of their own strike out. It's comic gold.

I'm listening to the Royals announcers - they called Kevin Youkilis David and Derek Jeter, Dusty. Quality.

Six innings and not one hit. These fuckers better not get no hit. Kenny should have gotten another bat.

But Hawk is the play by play guy.

Santo is possibly the biggest homer in Pro Sports along with Myron Cope of the Steelers. Hawk is right up there. I just feel so beaten down by his overuse of his catch phrases.

I honestly watch WGN games on mute half the time. I can only take so much "he gone," "1 nothing good guys," and of course "you can put it on the board. yes."

QUESTION: Is that DJ who "Yes's" along with Hawk?

Randy just may pull a Nolan here getting a no-hitter well after his prime. Nolan's final no-hitter came in a year where his ERA was like 5.40 and he went 10-14.

Um you were talking about the radio guys, thats Farmer.

Yes, thats DJ, who has no choice but to say "YES" when Hawk does. He'll probably have hell to pay if he didn't.

i'll easily take the chisox radio guys over hughes and santo. hughes is okay. good storyteller. a little too much standard radio voice. but santo is just ridiculous.

to me DJ's Yessing sounds so uncomfortable.

Who are the worst announcers you hear on radio?

Other than the Yankees of course ...

Exactly, he used to keep quiet, but I think they told him to go along with the "yes" part.

He used to have someone else with hawk. Tom "wimpy" Pachiorek, but the rumor has it that he started to get too popular and hawk had him removed. I'm sure theres more to it, but I don't know all the details.

I hate how DJ has to announce Hawk at the beginning of every game after he he gives the line ups and weather and all that other shit. What the fuck is that?

And as much as I hate Hawk, Johnny Kerr is the worst announcer in this town. I don't think he even knows where he is most of the time. It was nice during the playoffs to have Stacy King in there and actually give some insight into the game.

Listening to the Marlins' guys is like listening to paint dry. There are two guys, but they alternate innings, so there is no color commentating. Not an inning goes by without there being at least 10 pauses of 10 seconds or more. It's awful.

Yeah I don't like this bit.

Scully and Ueck can pull it off. No one else. Especially not some clowns who call baseball in Miami.

ESTY:

On the Wimpy subject, he is doing some radio for the Braves now. I have a friend who I used to hang with in the ATL who works for the Braves. He does not have first hand knowledge of this, but says that everyone there loves Wimpy and that he openly says that while Hawk did not fire him, he made life for him miserable. He would not talk to him at all toward the end. He made road-trips hell. Wimpy won't attribute it to his surge in popularity but says that combined with some things he was dealing with (the childhood molestation revelation and what not) he just could not stay there anymore. He was miserable.

I liked Wimpy, and I forgot about the whole molestation thing. Dj always looked like a hooch during his first couple of years. I wouldn't mind farmer being our tv guy.

Dammit, I knew Rivera wouldn't blow back to back games. The Sox are now in third place.
