How many of you have cheated on a significant other? Just curious.. and I'm only talking about actual penetration here.

i dated a girl for 2 years and had sex with about 7 others during the relationship. i do not have any justification for this. however i was in florida for 4 months on an internship, and the sexual incounters i experienced, i will go to the grave not regretting.

Never. What's the fucking point? I've never even started seeing someone else concurrently when in a relationship. If I am going to cheat on someone, it tells me I don't want to be with them anymore, and dragging on a relationship like that is a waste of both of our time. I would certainly end a relationship before even considering anything with someone else.

The closest I ever came was when I was dating someone and my ex, who I still cared for more than the new girl kissed me and said she wanted to get back together. I ended the kiss, but I did break up with the new girl. I didn't wind up getting back with the ex either, but regardless there was no reason to be with the new one.

I wish though that the girls I've dated felt the same way. Cheating whores.

No, I think rather I'm saying that most people lack the ability to stand by their convictions and instead make excuses for themselves.

but you have to analize the motives. i agree with the convictions thing. you're looking at is like its temptation, an after school special where the kid hands another kid a joint and he has to make a decision. symbolicly speaking, a girl or guy offers her self and he/she has to make a decision. what about those that pursue it? i don't think cheaters are always making excuses. some thrive on it.

i have very, very little tolerance for cheating. i've been cheated on and i actually caught them in the act, and i'm still recovering from it. if you cheat, i'm out, but not before i say a big "FUCK YOU!"

In all seriousness I feel the same way. Although I'm not as over the top about it nowadays, if I found out someone I knew had cheated on their partner, and I knew the partner too, I would never interfere but I would NOT be pleased in the slightest, and they would notice a definite change in my attitude towards them. It's not cool.

cheating is one of the worst things you could possibly do. i generally like finding the good in people and keeping friendships after romances and whatnot but cheating is just intolerable, if it ever happened to me id prolly never want to see the person again.

No, that's not the same thing at all. Smoking a joint is not at all the same as cheating on someone.

I haven't caught anybody cheating on me, but my last girlfriend broke the news to me like this "I fucking cheated on you." Talk about a huuuuge bitch. People who cheat have some pretty serious problems with themselves. I don't even look at other girls' asses when I have a girlfriend actually... which I probably should, but oh well. Being cheated on really makes one feel inadequate, and just shitty in general. It's very depressing to be cheated on, I wish such a feeling on nobody. I would never date somebody who has cheated on someone, or if I found out they cheated with someone to be with me I would end it immediately.

Yeah, mostly true for me, too. However, the guy who cheated on me had said when we were dating that he had never cheated. After he cheated on me, he then confessed to all these others times he cheated on past bfs. So, who knows. But the experience has made it very difficult for me to trust. It takes awhile for me to trust anyone now.
