you know the first signal at 0:01, that's the first whale saying like "is anybody still out there?" and 0:02-0:04 are the signals of the other surviving whales and then they start doing this last whale song, and there's this one whale mother who's still mourning the death of her baby whale, she comes at center, you can hear her clearly at 0:10, she doesn't keep the melody, she just jumps here and there saying like 'aye', she's really broken at 1:01 you can tell.

Your mix was spectacular Ropey, you really made me sound gangsta, and Cher sounded even more like the ho that she is.

I can't wait. You should really try submit Polar Opposites to some radio station over there, that song is really good and interesting.

I know I know. but you know demons songs are good, but honestly you can tell or find something similar to it (see Zoetrope). But Polar Opposites is like....I don't know - it makes people wonder if you really mean it or if it's just a joke. It's unusual.

Would you be disappointed if Seismonaut had a bigger success than demons?
Everything counts!

seismonaut sounds like (well, it's supposed to sound like) a cross between franz ferdinand and the bravery. i saw the bravery playing some song on a chat show and i couldn't believe how ridiculous they sounded. then i thought, well, it doesn't sound like difficult music to make, so i had a go at it

anyway i'll let you know if/when i record this song. and you let me know if i've ripped off anyone else without listening to them http://forums.netphoria.org/wwwboard/icons/icon10.gif

that would be hilarious

(btw i wrote zoetrope about three years ago when i was totally radiohead-obsessed — it's not surprising it sounds how it does)

since Sigur Ros are coming on Saturday .
but I am not satisifed. Maybe you will like it. I was thinking about like what that song by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush 'Don't give up' would sound in Icelandish. Like I am whinning how it's all going wrong and you're this inner voice who says everything's gonna be alright.

It could be way better I think. I think that if you send me something longer, it would be much easier to find something that would actually match with my part. (I am not satisfied with the sample that comes at 0:32; the one at 0:41 sounds alright).
thanks Jan, but the link doesn't work for me

and i'm so sorry about yesterday!!! we got there late, of course, and our seats weren't where i thought they would be so it was impossible to find you. i hope you liked the show though...and that i'll get to see you soon

I listened to it again and it still doesn't sound quite right
I got there few minutes before 8pm, doors were open so i went in to check my seat, and to my surprise Amina were already playing and the lights were off, so I found my seat and stayed there, thinking that since the concert is going on, you're probably already there.
yeah it was very good I think, I was impressed.

the clip is not too bad..not too good either..but i didn't give you a good enough sample to begin with.

and yeah, the show was very good, but a lot darker than the one we went to in september.... they played a lot of songs off of (). i got a few pictures and sound clips but i haven't downloaded them to my computer yet. if there's anything good, i'll post some
