i like it but i wouldn't say it's amazing. it sounds awesome (except the drums and the occasional overcompression) but the songwriting doesn't consistently keep me interested. i can easily see how people would get little out of it — if you don't like the style of production i imagine it'd be a pretty inscrutable listen

My thoughts exactly. I should try listening to it stoned, though, probably would help alot.

Personally I really like it, but yeah, the drums could do with sounding a lot fuller.

Your desire to be the most indietastic twat on this board really makes you say some dumb things sometimes.

oh and on topic:
i used to feel the same way about loveless as crono or lucky day spa here - pretty good, but not great. then i heard isn't anything and totally fell in love with it, went back to loveless a while after that and was just... impressed, awestruck. it's brilliant, i like every song on it.

i don't think it's dreamy enough, compared to my own favourite wishy washy dreampop band cocteau twins. of course, when it comes to TECHNICAL singing skills, liz frazier must be considered to kick that little cute singer in my bloody valentine easily. she is a bit too limited in her expression for my liking

there is an example of this lovely band and their ultimate dreampop sound, ie cocteau twins, not slowdive, for anyones listening pleasure, especially rockin' cherub.

ed: no i don't want to sound like sean casey

Dean R Koontz - Cocteau Twins fucking rule.

DeadAsWarhol - I also mentioned Slowdive. I think they are the kings of shoegaze
