Honestly some of the bad-mouthing and downright nastiness of some of the comments posted on this site about Billy and the Pumpkins, he's probably thinking if this is what people think of him then forget it. Day in day out i read stuff and just wonder whether we even deserve it. Now this is one of the biggest pumpkins forums, there is a pretty good chance that billy has checked to see what peoples opinions are at some point, everyone gets curious once in a while, and to see people making judgments and insults based on nothing, it's pretty uncalled for, he's only human.

i'm not preaching just giving my opinion.

i think we all know that the main force driving Billy in his endeavors is, as it has always been, his compulsion to prove people, naysayers, wrong about himself. therefore, it seems that if you, lucid_interval, had your way, the Pumpkins may never get back together...

The opinions of him wouldn't be so bad if he just stopped acting like a douchebag and started releasing good music, because he's more than capable of that. Its true about the nastiness, he really seems to be in a position of "damned if you do, damned if you don't" from his fans.

But this is just classic rock star stuff. Time moves on, people age, scenes change.

It just the personality of Corgan that ripped it apart and now has made it so messy.
Think of the Cure and NIN, they never really broke up, but people's opinions change. At least they have managed to maintain their image and feel.

I don't know. I think the "holy grail" thing is true though, he does treat his music like a drop of honey from God's teat.

Good post! I agree with you. A lot of these so called fans don't even deserve his great music. They will try to find a way to rip on Billy no matter how was the album is. It's too bad though because I thik he feels like all Pumpkins fans feel this way. Not me! I feel bad for Billy because he has to deal with some losers that are on this board. Everyone on this board isn't a loser, but there are quite a few of them though.On this board, It popular/cool to make fun of Billy and rip him for no reason. That's sad!!

So...he can treat his music however the fuck he wants to dude. It's his music.... He does release good music all the time too. I have not bought 1 album from Billy that has let me down or that I don't like. Maybe you need to stop waiting for Siamese Dream 2 all the dam time and get over it. His music has changed and so had he. You seem to be one of the only ones that hasn't changed. please move on and stop over-analyzing Billys music. It is what it is and I like it.
