I expected something 'more' or different but it's still nice (the greatest, the greatest, the greatesssst) and it's somewhat odd but pleasant to enjoy the instruments moreso than the vocals.

Looking forward to the album release !

i went to see her once and it was the worst show i ever went to, hands down.

that said, i still think i'm going even though julius said no. he actually saw the good show she played the night after i saw her, and he wants to stop while he's ahead.

oh well, maybe i will ask someone i don't know to go with me.

i'm going to go.

did she play many songs?

when i saw her she simply didn't play much music. maybe a couple of songs, maybe, and she stood there and giggled and talked to her bandmates and talked to us a little bit, you know, a word here and there. is she just really drunk, is that it? i just bought two tickets -- i am going to go see it. i have a good feeling about it.

the show i saw was just her and a piano/guitar, she played a lot of songs but made medleys out of them, skipping bits out and going straight into other songs. then when she stopped she'd apologise for being so shy saying it would make her play better, then she'd fumble around by herself swapping from playing piano to guitar or getting comfortable in her chair.

it was kind of tedious

I don't know the names of most of what she played. It seemed to be a lot of new stuff and a lot of stuff I recognized only from the Speaking For Trees DVD performance, and also:
Sea Of Love
Good Woman
I Don't Blame You
Names

She played really well. She was going good and I thought it got even better, and then she paused after a song and stubled through an awkward paragraph about how she wasn't playing for us the way she wanted to play, that it wasn't coming out how she wanted it to come out. Someone yelled at her to just shut up and play already. It was pretty obnoxious but it worked.

i find it weird that she made a short version of willie deadwilder and put it on the album. i like the long, rambling version a lot better and when she did this short version in concert i thought it was just for the show. interesting. i can't wait to listen to the rest of the album.
