I have some Japanese Tarei paper that I want to be able to get a design on, problem is it's almost tissue-thin. Meaning I won't be able to get it in any printers without either starting a fire or wasting precious money. I want to make collateral pieces out of it, meaning I'm going to have to get designs on it one way or another.
I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with this paper, and if anyone can share any ideas for getting the design on the paper. The only thing i can think of is using iron-on transfer paper to iron on the design. Although I've never heard of this application being used to adhere the design to another sheet of paper and I'm kinda almost hesitant since iron on paper is so expensive (About 15 dollars for 10 sheets). |

I'd attach the thin paper to a thicker piece of paper with staples or something and send it through the printer. But I'm pretty retarded, so you probably shouldn't try that.

Business cards, eh? That's actually an interesting project. Are you just going to create a single card with one image, or are you going to use a full sheet of paper with random designs that will be replicated; creating 8 "different" cards? |

I don't know what you're talking about, actually..I tried thinking of what AD was and all I could think about was "Adderall", which made me LOL. My friend Tim has a constant supply of that shit, he's like Jesse Spanyo in the caffeine episode of Saved by the Bell. ...and yeah, 8 different cards. |

Lots of designers are doing odd cards there days.
My thoughts are: Clients aren’t going to put your card somewhere special if it doesn’t fit with the rest of their cards in their business card holders or whatever, like many people have these days. If anything they’ll put it somewhere else and forget about it when they refer to their cards. Maybe I dont understand what you're doing, but the card sound thick and the paper sounds fragile. |
