No, but that's a good idea. I'll give you credit, of course.

You had a thing for this young lady, didn't you?

a thing, no. i found her to be attractive, and i made a thread once aobut how she smelled real nice. i also had a thread where i was concerned if she hated me, cause i woke her up a few times accidentally and nearly lit the place on fire. she was cool, but it'd be too strong to say i had a thing for her

yeah, cooking mishap. i turned the gas burner on way too high and a flame jutted out and hit the plastic handle of a can opener that was on the stove and when i entered the room it was ablaze with thick black smoke everywhere and molten plastic on fire, it sucked

i don't really listen to any rush. i like a band called cyclefly and people often say the voices of their respective singers are quite similar. i have to be in a certain mood to feel like listening to cyclefly, but when im in that mood, they're my favorite band.

also, i can appreciate their drummer's skills. also, ronnie (theedgeboy) likes them a lot, so i'm kind open to at least checking them out, but i've got no space on my drive to download anything.

have you ever heard of cyclefly? (they're tiny and defunct and from ireland, so i don't expect that you would)

Rush are awesome. I remember TheEdgeBoy. I met him before the Santa Barbara Pumpkins show May 21, 2000, where he was hanging out with CandyPotter. Interestingly enough, this was also around the time I started listening to Cyclefly.

Yes, the Cyclefly vocalist's voice is comparable to Geddy Lee's. I haven't listened to them in quite some time, but I may have to dust those albums off tonight. Well, the first one at least. That linkin park dude is on the 2nd..

Have you heard of Scheer?

holy crap im going to have to try to make fun of your music at least a little less often since you've heard of cyclefly. woah.

and no, i don't know scheer. i'm not too informed musicwise. most of what i know if from the music board here and some of the radio shows where they do bands that aren't usually on the radio and stuff like that

Hi everyone! My wonderful roommate is off to London, and it looked as though a friend of mine was going to move in, but it appears that his plans have changed. So here I am, hitting up craigslist with relatively short notice.

I want to get this ad up as quickly as possible, so it is a little sparse on details; please contact me with any questions, as I've only covered the basics.

About the place, it is on Pine and Gough, which is a great area and is within walking distance from both Polk and Fillmore, and Whole foods is just a block away. It's a very clean apartment, and it has a pool! I've been here since March and the place really has worked out quite well. Cable internet, cable for the TV (though the TV belongs to the roommate leaving, so either you might have one, or I'll have to pick one up). Laundry is in the building, $1 for wash, $1 for dry. 1 shared bathroom, and of course a living room and a kitchen as well.

Parking is available for $150 which is very reasonable for the area.

I am a 25 yr old straight nonsmoking male working in finance/technology, and originally from the east coast. I'm respectful, active, social, and simply looking for a compatible roommate to share this space. I still consider myself relatively new to the city (here since march), and I love it.

The roommate who is leaving is a female, but I'm open to either male or female, so long as it seems like a good match. Ideally someone with a similar age who is social, respectful, positive, and works a stable job.

I work a lot during the week, so I'd be happy to have an open-house tomorrow (sunday), and if you can't make that, we can set up something during the week, but it'll have to be after 9 pm most likely.

If you're interested, please email me, I'll answer any questions, and we'll set something up so you can check out the place!

Happy house hunting,
J

a lovely lady named liza, and i picked her because when she came over to check out the place we had a great convo and she seemed most compatible out of all of them. she grew up in the same state as i, she seems to agree that respect and communication are really all it takes to avoid drama or problems, and she seemed fun.

i had told everyone i'd decide by sunday but since it's towards the end of the month and everyone is franticly trying to find a place, i decided on fri. evening, so that i'd be able to give the people i said no to a few extra days to find another place. we had had a convo about how there is just about no accountability in this process and people tend to not care if they are fucking others over, and that sucks.

so i called her and got her voicemail, and i siad i thought she seemed real cool and i didn't want to drag the process out, so if she wants the room, just let me know and it's hers.

she called back and siad that that afternoon someone had offered her the room on the spot so she accepted and she felt really badly because she preferred mine. then she said she thought i was relaly cool and she wanted to hang out with me, so we made plans to chill this weekend.

then like 15 minutes later she called back and said sorry to sound like a psycho but she really liked my place and thought we'd be most compatible, and even though we talked about how no one is being accountable, she would like my place if i hadn't already given it away. so i told her i unfortunately had already called the next person, then i told her i was just joking and said let's do it, and so she's going to be here in 20 minutes to sign some papers.

yeah!
