they're a really awesome lo-fi pop band from new zealand, on flying nun, been going since 1981-ish. pretty much your scene.

not enough actually.

new zealand music generally sucks, but the tall dwarfs and related projects are great. they just toured the us for the first time in 13 years with olivia tremor control...

the verlaines
the chills
the clean
straitjacket fits

are all pretty good new zealand pop bands

if you can't find anything i can YSI you some stuff
